I played about 16 hours of fallout 3 and then someone told me the ending so i never finished it. I purchased fallout new vegas yesterday when it was on sale hopefully its just as good. The story is better in FO3, but I liked the gun porn better in NV. I thought the same. Story in 3 was great, but the mechanics of New Vegas were better. |

There is a mod that lets you play FO3 with FNV's engine/mechanics.

I've been a life long gamer, been playing since the Atari 2600 was new. I considered myself and avid gamer, but not a hardcore gamer. I don't have to have the newest console when it comes out, or have the latest game. I usually wait till games go down to the $20-30 price range. I had never even heard of the Fallout series.
I bought FONV when it was a greatest hits for the PS3; seemed like an okay game, but didn't knock my socks off. Then I found FO3 a few weeks later, hooked ever since. My PS3 has died so I need to buy FO3 for my gaming computer. If/ when Fallout 4 ever happens, I will not wait till it goes to greatest hit. It will be the first game I ever pre-order. |

Yes. Yes it will lol There is actually going to be a server wipe in the coming months, but it could be the end of the year. Now isn't a bad time to start playing because of that, it's not too busy unless you get online at European peak time, so it's less dangerous than it would be normally. Not that it isn't still dangerous. It's good old fashioned full loot, kill or be killed. View Quote View All Quotes View All Quotes Quoted:

For those who have two wastelands, any problem with it? Complaints?
I'll need to buy the NV complete edition.. already have the other. |

LOL with WL2, make sure your computer is up to snuff, I'm playing it on an older laptop, but it's really pushing the limits.
Other than that, it seems to be a well put together game. Things do what you want when you want them to, there's no glaring bugs or crashes or anything. Pretty darn solid game. It makes 4 hours go by in a blink, so fair warning. |

I just got into this game although I bought the boxed copy a few years ago, what can i say, i'm hooked. Now my problem is with a retail version of the game the steam dlc wont work for me and i cant play any of the add ons.
Its either delete my boxed version and download the the complete game of the year version from steam or find copies of the expansion packs. I am looking for Broken Steel, The Pitt, and Point Lookout Anyone out there have these and want to sell them? or cough cough trade / gift them? |

I'd wait until the next Steam sale, the Game of the Year edition usually goes on sale for like $10.
Until then, go play some of the community-made mods. Kharn |

Kharn I think it's more like $5 each during the big steam sales. In fact I think they might have been on sale recently for the Bethesda/id sale. Bought them during the last Halloween sale for a buddy: Fallout 3 - Game of the Year 4.99 USD
Fallout New Vegas Ultimate 4.99 USD Subtotal: 9.98 USD Tax: 0.00 USD Total: 9.98 USD |

I paid like $7.50 and have probably 300 hours in that one. |

Yeah thats how much I got them on steam for, but....... I had previously bought fallout 3 game of the year edition for 30 bucks used on xbox 360 so they go their money out of me.
