I'm downloading the mod for this... I'm sure I'll screw it up somehow... I have never been very good at getting these sorts of things to work.
ETA- I got the mod up and running? Who do I need to link up with? |

yeah that looks good. also we could do my kettle from the Panthara server it was pretty cool, in that it wasn't just a square too bad i got bored before i really got to set it up. |

I started DayZ with other ArfCommers playing DayZ Origins on the original Taviana map. If anyone else wants to join me I have been playing the revitalized (after being dropped by the originator) and updated DayZ Origins Mod 1.7.9 on the Chosen #1 server, which is a 70 slot server which seems to always at a minimum be half full.

I didn't have major latency issues with Chosen but it's obvious quite a few others were. I suppose if Miles and his clan want to stay there then maybe I'll reconsider... |

Ok, so at the risk of sounding inept, where is ask if this going down?
I picked up DayZ on steam yesterday and an trying to find where any of this is going down. I would prefer to not have to pay for any mods until I've played the regular game a bit. |

Get an Mi17 running, look around, Star Spangled 'Muricacopter on our tail, shoots us down, Tuna dies.
Crossing the mountains, spot a Russian gunship patrolling, move in, gunship coordinates fires with people on the ground, Tuna dies. Transiting the sea in a zodiac in pitch black darkness at 70kph, take machine gun fire from the shore 1km+ away, Tuna gets shot, survives. Swimming to a boat parked next to a dock, Tuna breaks his legs and gets dragged down into the depths of the sea by voodoo physics, bleeds out swimming to shore. It's like DayZ final destination. |

Which is the best version of this game currently? Me and some friends had gotten into the standalone version but it is so broken and filled with hacks it is unplayable at this point. To make things worse the developer is adding more pointless features but not fixing anything so I am looking for options.
