I just started checking this game out last week and am totally stoked. Started piecing together a new PC on Newegg to prepare.
Haven't purchased anything yet, mostly because I see I missed out on some sweet stuff. Anyone interested in getting rid of their 350R? Probably be purchasing a 300i pledge package shortly. Also down to fly with arf clan. And page 7 is mine. |

350R's are going to command a premium on auction sites, I'd go for a Hornet instead if you want a dogfighter. Kharn View Quote View All Quotes View All Quotes Quoted:

I just don't get how people could think its fun to haul things from point A to B and not want to get into any battles. |

I am assuming you to get access to the Hanger Module, you will need to purchase a package that includes Alpha/Beta access? Or am I too late to the party?
Will the cutlass be able to hold its own in a dogfight, or is it mainly tasked with taking out lesser armed cargo vessels?
How's the 325A going to be? I bought simply based on looks.
Also, are these ships not available any more? I must admit I don't peruse their site in a regular fashion. |

If I reclaim my Digital Scout package, do I lose any of the benefits? For example, can I reclaim the Digital Scout - LTI and upgrade to a Freelancer or Colonel package and still get the LTI for either ship?
Also, with the 325a, would I rather have a Freelancer or a Hornet? Decisions, decisions... |

View Quote Yes, you can "melt" your original package for store credits and then purchase the upgraded package. You keep your benefits.

Heck, better than half the times I jumped into a system in Elite, I'd be hoping for no pirates. They got in the way of me making money. They were the primary reason I'd try to jump to a system close enough that I'd have fuel enough for an emergency jump, if it become necessary. Even with fuel scoops, it sucked, having to run out to the sun to refuel. Same idea, I expect. It adds dynamic to the game, too. I imagine people are motivated to save a player ship than a NPC one. |

Got the 300i because I'll need the rest of my play money to build a new PC... |

The website's description doesn't really tell much about it and, with the 325a in my hangar already, I don't really think I need two fighters. |

Would one be better off getting two cheaper ships, or just going all out and getting one of the $120 ships?

Would one be better off getting two cheaper ships, or just going all out and getting one of the $120 ships? View Quote You will (IIRC) be able to pay an NPC to fly your second ship with you, but having one kickass ship vs two junkers? I'd take the single good ship, since good NPC pilots will be expensive. Cutlass (requires a game package in addition, so you'd need an Aurora too) vs hornet vs freelancer would depend on your field of interest. I picked a hornet before I upgraded to the Connie, but i love pewpew and dislike logistics. Kharn Posted Via AR15.Com Mobile |

I just melted my Cutlass and bought a 325a instead. I just can't see myself doing the pirate thing.

We won't be doing the pirate thing all the time. But on occasion we might sit at a jump point and...ask for donations.

Is it true that if I buy the cheapest option now, I can buy the other ships at the current prices, later on? (So I can get around price increases)

Quoted: Is it true that if I buy the cheapest option now, I can buy the other ships at the current prices, later on? (So I can get around price increases) View Quote no, that is done. If you're wanting to save money, you should find an original backer and have them purchase the package for you then gift the package to your account. |

Do you know what the prices are for the $120 ships for original backers?

Just want to verify.... If I give an original back the cash for a freelancer or constellation. They will still get lifetime insurance and if they gift it, it the insurance will be transferred to me?

Yes, they've confirmed special variants of the other ships. Its not a matter of if i'll pay for the Hornet and Connie upgrades, but how much they'll take directly from my bank account.
I need the famous Steam Sale jpg changed to Chris Roberts saying "It's special edition time!" Kharn Posted Via AR15.Com Mobile |

Is there anyway to upgrade to a 300i after getting the Aurora without paying the full $55 price for the 300i package?

They just hit $15 million today.
New ship class: Escort Carrier
Don't know. Just the class was announced with the $15M milestone.
If you can personally own a Destroyer without the nonsense associated with carriers (gotta capture and hold them or people can steal them while you're offline), I'll be happy. Now if I can own a battlecruiser that would be fucking amazing.
