While you get in position to cast magic missile I'll put a handful more arrows into you |

Still missing Altmer, Breton, Imperial. They are still in the game, just no screen shots of them yet.

So no Breton?
Breton magic bonuses owned all the other races perks. |

In many of the Gamescom screenshots, there are people with a weapon in one hand and magic (fire) in another. This is interesting.

Has anybody heard anything about system requirements?
I need to build a new gaming computer anyway. |

Might have to pick this up when it comes out... I've got Morrowind and the Elder Scrolls game of the year edition... I've suffered from a couple of the bugs that game had because it was rushed out the door... my character got stuck in a room and couldn't get out and I had to restart. It sucked.
Hopefully Bethesda is spending their time on bug fixing... I'll be getting it for my Xbox 360... my PC isn't up to the task of running this game... and I won't be upgrading it anymore. |

One huge advantage to playing on PC is the ability to use the console and modify the game during moments like this. I have been stuck in crevasses and such before in Oblivion, just hit tab then "noclip" gets you out of a jam quick. Also if the game glitches and an item or character you need to progress in the game has vanished (like not in the fucking game anymore....) you can add the item / character and move on with the game. Nothing is worse than restarting after 100 hours of gameplay.... |

Hopefully the game is more along the lines of Morrowind. Oblivion was a disgrace to the series.

I built a massive gaming PC and haven't touched it since I got my PS3. I prefer playing games on a machine made to play games...rather than try to play games on a machine that has multiple other purposes. Trying to keep up with driver and software updates, crashing to desktop because some other program decided it needed to be the most important thing right then or that it wanted to conflict with a driver that was in use...no thanks. To each his own. I definitely don't want to get into the PC vs console debate. It's all about personal preference. As for Skyrim...I absolutely cannot wait for this game. I haven't been more excited for a game since Final Fantasy III (actually Final Fantasy VI but they changed the number for the United States) back when I was still in highschool. Final Fantasy VII was close but I was working, in college, old enough to drink, and had seen a vagina by then so gaming had lost quite a bit of its hold on me. |

I used to feel sorry for myself because I couldn't afford shoes...until I met a man who had no feet.

For me, Skyrim is a must play with PC game because of what you'll be able to download apart from official expansions from Bethesda. To each their own of course, but you will be missing a significant part of Skyrim by playing it solely on a console. More on topic: I haven't seen any new content released lately. I hope we get some more soon. |

It looks good so far. And it seems you can finally stab people which, mods aside, has been long overdue with everybody waving swords around! Some of the accents that NPCs seem to have in a few videos didn't sound quite right, but that was a complaint with Morrowind and Oblivion, too.
This PC only just managed Oblivion on minimum graphics (smoothly), so Sexbox it is. Originally Posted By InjunJoe:

Morrowind was good for OP-ness. Levitation probably won't be making a return! And neither will moon jumping across the landscape via maxed out Acrobatics. |
