Free weights?

Are you talking about those black steel wheel looking things that you put on a pole and lift?

http://www.planetfitness.com/sites/default/files/clubs/379/pictures/Gym%2520pics%2520005.JPG
Or maybe the LITTLE black wheel looking things that are permanently attached to the pole that you lift.

http://www.planetfitness.com/sites/default/files/clubs/379/pictures/Gym%2520pics%2520008.JPG

Whats your opinion of the Ruger Mini14?

(And yes, these are actual pictures of MY local PF in Rockledge Florida.)

Looked like plain racks to me.  And the heaviest dumbbell around here is 215, but I think I've lost a few since I was on a scale last.

I don't see any safety bars in the cages. Pretty pointless to lift in a cage without them.

That's because those were all smith machines. The incline press isn't, so I guess you could take that bar off and deadlift. But you'd probably get lunked.

Then you should look into heavy compound lifts.

I zoomed in as best I could and I think you're right, smith machines.

Sorry dude, not a real gym.  Broscience has a good instructional video on the smith machine-

Yeah those looked like smith machines, so still not free weights....

And mini-14s are cool, but I've shot 12 gauges that shot tighter groups.

ETA- and yes, I owned one.

Yeah, but you didn't buy a cage and I suck at squats and have to bail a lot.

Rockledge?  There is a bad ass gym just down the road maybe 10 or 15 minutes.  Harbor City Crossfit / Harbor City Barbell.  Sweet gym.  Huge powerlifting area.  Huge oly lifting area.  Huge CF area.  Giant indoor marked turf.
