To the guys shoveling 4k calories a day - What are you trying to accomplish ? ( why should your kids have to go through your pain ? Smores over the holidays? Why the hell not ? ) To be a lion among men. Mediocrity is for pussies And I dont diet. Just eat clean year round except for the occasional pizza or chinese food. Like once a month. I grew up in a house with 2 competitive bodybuilders. Life without smores isnt the end of the world you know. I am very, very, very thankful I was raised the way I was. I like junk food (had cheesecake at cheesecake factory NYE) but its nota thing I really place much value on. I met my wife on fitnesssingles.com if one of us is slacking we can get the other to pick up the pace. Lots of conjecture in this post. I was just answering your question and explaining my reasoning. Assuming someone's kids is in pain is "conjecture". |

If someone is trying to loose fat the right thing to do is support them. eta, reread your question. Guys eating more than 4k a day. Its not directed at.only one individual. Its directed at multiple "guys" |

I hadn't eaten cold cereal in over a year until last week. I got up early and went to the store, got some cookie, Star Wars and Life cereal, and the kids and I killed all three boxes. I got it out of my system for another year or three. |

My wife may be evil. She filled the cup cabinet with candy.
Today's workout, lots of bench, some curls, pullups and grip strength exercises. |
|
Dead lifts, bench, and grip work.
Just getting back into it and surprised I got 225 for 10 rather easily on bench and 385 for 3 single pulls on deads at the end of the workout. |

Day 2 Keto
Did Yoga yesterday. I used muscles I hadn't used since child birth. I don't think that is going to be my thing. I did it with my gorgeous daughter. Let's just say my transitions weren't as flawless as hers. Hoping we burnt a lot of calories laughing. That put me in the gym today: 2 miles on the tread mill at a pretty good clip. ETA.. I have a long road ahead. Add weight training after I get past feeling like isht from going Keto??? Next week? One more question. I haven't seen tomatoes on a do not eat list for Keto. Are they ok? |

Your muscles probably aren't ready to support your joints over long distances witch can lead to injury. I'm not saying don't use it but take it easy for awhile. I would mix it in with some other form of cardio like a rower or a bike. I have found I go into keto faster if I do a lot of cardio. But every is different. The keto flu sucks. Last time it took me 3 days to get over it. This time it was about an hour. You can do strength training whenever you want. What is your plan/program? |

One more question. I haven't seen tomatoes on a do not eat list for Keto. Are they ok? View Quote It's all about net carbs. You take total carbs - dietary fiber. You want to keep it as low as you can until you get into keto. So tomatoes are good to go if you don't eat too much. But remember you want to try to stay under 10 net carbs per hour or it may knock you out of keto. Did you buy test strips? |

Upper body M W F Low T TH ST Abs every day. I have to lose enough weight to handle a step class which I absolutely love to do. I supplement that with cardio and weights. That is a fitness goal. That is a bit harder on my joints and I can't do it at this weight without horrible pain in my hips lower back and ankles. I have been consistently walking since Oct but hit a wall first part of Dec. So 2mi felt good today. Especially after the abnormal yoga. Fighting asthma right now and that really is my ONLY complaint but I think the more I work my lungs the better that will get too. |
