Tossing around the idea of getting a Fitbit.

Anyone use one? Your thoughts?

I looked at them and wanted one. But I came up with the fact that it didn't help with the goals I have set. Like will it help my squat? No? Don't need it. This will change when climbing season comes back around. But that is May or June.

What are you training for?

I have one because I wanted to monitor how much I walked at work. It turns out I usually hit 18k steps before going home & I usually get over 20k daily.

I also found it helped me track my sleep to see how much I *really* get each night. I don't bother trying to reach the base goal of 8 hours, but I've found that 6-6.5 leaves me well rested. So instead of going to bed after 10+ like k use to, I'm usually aiming for 9-9:30 or so.

I also liked that the watch (Fitbit charge) didn't look too flashy. I'm wearing it in a factory after all.

I want it to monitor heart rate while cycling and monitor sleep.

I sleep like crap due to meds I take and would really like to get a handle on it.

I like it, think of it as  an activity monitor....see a low activity day & correct it.  I clock  13 to 25,000 "steps" a day.  Lot's of people struggle to average 7000 @ the office. I use the plain black band model.  Wear it 24/7  Never had a day under 10,000

I use a Fitbit one for monitoring daily activity and to get a ballpark of my TDEE.   It seems to be ok in that sense.

I've been using a Garmin vivoactive for the last couple weeks daily.

It tracks my swims - waterproof, gps for cycling, running, steps, sleep... Pairs with my HR monitor, power meter, phone, etc... Oh, and has some gps features for golf or some shit....

A charge lasts 4-5 days, recharges in 30 minutes...

Find them on eBay for $150 new...

Not a bad piece overall... Glad I didn't drop the $400 on the Garmin 920...

I had the biggest one.  I found it uncomfortable to wear while I slept.
Also, I found it didn't really have make any difference in how I exercised. 10,000 steps?  OK, great, but so what?
It eventually crapped out and I didn't bother to replace it.

If I were to do it again, I would definitely go with one of the small ones.

It's been a good activity monitor for me.  Easy to tell when I have sat on my butt too much in a day.  The low numbers motivate me to get up and move.

Agreed.  I wear one because my company bought one for me.

It's useful for tracking data but like anything it doesn't fix the problem.  For instance it might show you that you sleep too little or you don't sleep rested, but you already know that info.  It's not going to fix it.

I find it a useful motivator for a little extra activity.  I set my daily goal at 15k steps instead of 10k.  I took my daughter for a walk yesterday instead of browsing ARF SDF.

Also, if you share your page with anyone turn off your heart rate share.  Things get funny when people can see your heart rate going up 10:00 at night.

Most of the people who I see wearing a Fitbit, look like the same people who buy Shake Weights and Abdomonizers. In other words, meh.

Meh.  Not that big of a fan of HR as an indicator.  Can't wear one where I work in any case.

Test-c, or something stronger?

I have one of these for checking SPo2 and HR at home. Works great.

Only hCG here. Test next week to see if it's working. If it's still low, hoping I can get the good stuff.

From what I've read, HCG offers a benefit but only short-term.  Don't let him try to put you an an anti-e next.

When my bloodwork came back initially it was at 273 on a 275-1000 scale.  Doctor acted like I was some druggie asking for help.  I told him word for word "If my liver enzymes or blood cell count came back outside of normal, you'd have me at a specialist right now."

Make sure you take care of yourself.

Bluetooth to my S5.  Sometimes the damn thing will read 200 BPM while I'm cruising on the flats, and 65 BPM while climbing a hill

Sorry...yes, it's on a chest strap. I even use an electrode cream to ensure good contact and it still is inaccurate as can be.

I guess Im not understanding.  Your S5 and chest strap is what youre looking to replace with the fitbit?

I have one that I use primarily for monitoring sleep. It does a decent job at that although all it's really monitoring is how much you move around. I didn't get a model that measures HR because after researching it, the overwhelming consensus was that the HR monitoring was pretty much worthless and not even remotely accurate.

Dont do it with a fitbit.  Get something by polar.  If fitbit is giving you a HR without a chest strap, its equation based and not accurate at all.
