This one in particular.
http://www.titan.fitness/power-rack.html My wooden one I built is massive, and probably getting unsafe. I need to move my area from the middle of the basement towards the wall and want something more compact and stronger. I have exactly 84" to work with, so I would probably have to drill custom holes for the pullup bar to move it down a bit. Says it's rated for 700 lbs, I only own 300 lbs, and probably won't be there for some time, if ever. |

Someone was posting about them from an Amazon link. Perhaps look on Amazon for reviews. I believe the folks here said they were gtg.
If I were in the market for a lifting rack, I would buy from them. |

I have the "other" rack, the bigger one and it's totally awesome. No regrets.

Ordered one this morning.
I figured for the $290 and free shipping, if I don't like it, or somehow outgrow it I can flip it on Craigslist and not be out too much coin. |

I'm looking at their HD rack but haven't pulled the trigger hoping for a black friday sale. I've read a lot of posts on BB.com about guys that whine about the finish not being powder coat and the booger welds, but the damn thing is half the price of an R3, and it's going to get scratched from use.

I figured it would be easier just to move the pullup bar on the fullsize one down 5-6", plus the fullsize will probably be easier to sell later if it comes time to upgrade. The way I have it lined up now is so when I pull or chin my head fits right between the floor joists. |

I really wish Titan would come out with a lower cost version of the Rogue fold away rack. Would be perfect for me.

Some people like the ability to hit the safety bars and not go to the ground, but after losing lifts in a full cage and a squat stand, I prefer to dump onto the floor. One thing I've been working with my kids on is dumping a missed lift without getting hurt. Done correctly, I don't think the cage is a whole lot safer if at all. The only reason I don't want to just get squat stands is so we can still use safety arms for bench press and so the kids don't have to worry about tipping them over |

Just an FYI they are NOT a Rogue RML rack. Don't expect the quality of a Rogue RML or even a better Chinese model such as the Get Rxed or Team AF models. It will, however, get the job done.

I have the Titan. It works fine. I got the dip bars and extra hooks too. I have a love hate relationship with lifting right now and am not using the rack at all. I guess I'm not really lifting at this point, but doing more therapy.
Obviously the Rogue is better built and finished. But the Titan is much cheaper. I picked up the Rogue bolt together bench and really like it. |

The rogue is better but $450 looks a lot better in my pocket. I want an R3 so bad but I can't justify spending an extra $450 when the HD will do what I need it to do, worst case scenario if a weld or 2 don't look too good I'll redo the weld, if the paint is scratched rust oleum will work.

Are you asking what is wrong with Rogue's foldaway or Titans?
Absolutely nothing wrong with Rogue. It's just for one or two exercises, +$500 is a tough go. Does Titan make a foldaway? Quoted:

It's probably not in full production yet then. I just compared this to the Rogue version and it's about $200 less. I'm going to figure out a way to get it mounted where I need it, maybe get the 40" version ordered this week. I've got a 2' concrete curb on the bottom of the wall I want it to go against so I'll have to bolt it to the concrete and space the wall out for the top section. |

Got it in the mail today. Assembly was a piece of cake, I used a cordless impact and a wrench, I had the whole thing together in maybe 15-20 minutes, it took me longer to unpack everything. Quality is decent for the price point I think. It's not a commercial piece, or even close, but very high value for under $300 shipped right to the house, It is much more sturdy, and probably much safer than my wooden one, and it takes up less space, although it's not super thick steel, it's thicker than the racks at Dicks, and less money, so that is a selling point right there. With just weights on the back and some shims under it (whoever poured the floor in this basement didn't do a great job) it had a bit of movement, but still fine for using the pullup bar, I make it pretty much solid by strapping it to a beam. I over did it with the impact, I probably should have just used a ratchet...but I have the tools, so why not use them. Bent some of the steel by holding the trigger down a bit too long, shouldn't affect anything, just the looks. http://i1322.photobucket.com/albums/u576/sitdwnandhngon/temporary_zpsua9z0sdl.jpg http://i1322.photobucket.com/albums/u576/sitdwnandhngon/temporary_zpsxn20l7fj.jpg Here is the one it replaced. http://i1322.photobucket.com/albums/u576/sitdwnandhngon/temporary_zps4ggdjqpt.jpg View Quote I couldn't wait for black friday so I just placed an order for an HD rack from Titan Fitness.....your pictures made me anxious. |

Even though they are not due in until January, the great guys at Titan Fitness let me purchase the 21' folding rack today.
He indicated to me that they were blown away at the demand the last time they were in stock, blowing through 200 units in a couple days. He said they are ready with the next shipment. Can't beat $269 with free shipping. Will get the spotter bars after paying down some CC bills next month. |
