Well due to some things I am mostly limited to a treadmill to do a lot of my cardio. Been doing HIIT on it.

Here's my current workout:

2 minutes walking
3 minutes warm up (8 mph)
8 sets of 30 seconds max (11 mph) and 30 second moving rest (6 mph)
2 minutes cool down

This gives me a pretty good workout in 15 minutes

Just looking to see what you guys do to get some variety.

I do a 30/60 sec hi/low interval on my C2 for 5k and try and keep the overall time to under 20 min. Gets painful about 10 min in.

30 seconds max sprint, 1 minute jog. repeat 5 times, 5 minute recovery jog
repeat 3,4, or 5 times depending on which week it falls on.

On Saturday I run 2 schedules
week A
pick a distance and run as fast as possible
week B
sprint a minute, jog a minute
sprint 2, jog 2
and so on through 5, at 5 bring it back down to 1.

I like to mix up my HIT training, but here's a few running workouts that have worked for me:

200m, 400m, 600m, 800m, 600m, 400m, 200m
1:1 work:rest

3 rounds:
run 400m w/ sandbag, run 400m w/o sandbag
rest 3 minutes

I know Jordan on the starting strength forums recommends a 1:5 work to rest ratio.

20 second all out max effort with 1:20 seconds rest.  7-8 rounds or sets whatever you want to call it.

With of course a warm up and cool down period.

2-3 times a week depending on goals.

On the bike out riding, I have been doing fire hydrant sprints.    Sprint to the hydrant.  Then recover for the next 2 hydrants.  Then sprint to the next one.  Repeat as much as you want/can.

That's how I do runs.  Spring for one set of power poles, jog the next set.  Sprint two, jog one.  Spring three, jog one.  Collapse.

When I ride I try to sprint up the hills and recover at the top.  That gives me 6 or so good sprints in a 45min ride.

Sprints if the weather is conducive to going outdoors.  Plyometric type stuff indoors.

I use a rower.

300m followed by a 1 min rest.  That's about a 1:1 interval for me.  Start with 1:30 or 1:45 rest interval.

I've not done any hiit for about a year, but when I do it is sprints and heavy bag.  I enjoy the heavy bag workouts the most.

Not HIIT.

Sounds like a killer, but not HIIT.

I just walk across the street to the H.S. track after I'm done lifting 1-2 days a week. I sprint the straights and walk the ends for a couple miles.
