Power rack to do curls. Seriously just set the bar on the floor between sets and don't unnecessarily take up equipment. I was doing squats today and this guy walks up to the power rack next to me and starts using it to hold a bar with 100 lbs on it between his sets. Then he looks at me after I get done with a set of squats and says, hey bro can you get a pic of me with my phone while I'm doing curls? me being the nice chill guy I am agree. Then he said make sure you get the pic at the top of the curl. I should have just told him what I thought. We have an entire rack of curl bars with weights already on them that go in increments of 10 from 40 to 140. Now get your butt off the power rack and go use those. Even if it was just the Olympic bar he wanted to use he didn't have to take up the power rack. We've got plenty of extra bars.

Also, when you get done don't leave weights on the bar and put them in the right spot. I get tired of seeing a 45, 5, 25, 2.5 and 10 all on the same plate holder.

I'm sure none of you are that guy though.

I was at the gym today doing straight bar curls in the squat rack in this dude started eye fucking me.  So I said, hey bro, you wanna take a picture of me lifting so it isn't so obvious you are staring at my quads?

He said fuck yeah, proceeded to wink at me, and took my phone.

yes, poor gym awareness drives me nuts

I've done some awkward stuff in my life.  Thank God it didn't include asking some dude to film me doing curls.

Amen to that.

On a side note the gym was full of douches tonight.   Way way more than usual.

I had an older guy using the rack to bench on Saturday.  It's fine, he didn't have a spotter and that's a nice safe place to bench when you've got the gym to yourself.

On a side note, the gym was vacant when I got there at 6am today, but by 6:45 the four guys that do nothing but dumb-bell curls, flys and presses were there.  Nice guys though.

I do curls in the squat rack all the time. I also do OHP, bench and tricep extensions in there.

I lift in my garage so the only one giving me dirty looks is my dog.

Yep,

Glad all my equipment is at home!

Keeping the dogs out of the middle of sets can be an issue though.

I do have some asshole that loves to do curls in that squat rack, but that guy is me.  In fact I did my dumbbell curls in the rack last night, I like to look at myself in the mirror.

Yeah I went a bit overboard this year on the gym... Best shape of my life by thirty (july) was my goal. I'll be stronger than ever, but not quite as fit I fear. I won't go to the gym, I struggle with motivation to go to the basement. There's a few things I still want, but it's pretty much perfect! Minus the 8ft ceiling.

Should be a good year though. One Spartan and tough mudder race for sure, Looking to do the Spartan trifecta!

Your setup is pretty bad ass.  I'm using mostly second hand free weights and rusted weights in the old junk spare room in my garage.  There was an old small detached garage that when the previous owner built a new garage he attached it to, that is what I'm using.  I heat it with a mr heater that mounts on top of a 20 lbs propane bottle.  It still beats the heck out of traveling to a gym and dealing with the distractions of other people.

Got me beat. All I have is a pull up bar with some rings and literally a pile of hex dumbbells in the corner of the living room.

If someone needs a squat rack to curl in, they should be spending a HELL lot more time on their deadlift than their curls!

225 bucks got me a bench, squat rack, barbell, curl bar, and 305lbs of weight off craigslist.

90" on the uprights. Pull-up bar is actually upside down to fit in the basement. Unfortunately pull-ups are done with bent legs.

ok..I've been looking at those racks.  .sadly my basement ceiling height is only seven feet (84").  I have a spare bedroom with 8 foot ceilings I could put equipment in but hate to lose that living space, so will probably end up with their 72 inch rack in the basement.

I've curled in a squat rack....  As a joke.

I have done WODs in the power rack when I was at college.  Still didn't curl (except as above).
