The Nike Revolution 2s that I wear now need replaced. What do you guys wear when you lift? I just purchased a nice pair to run in but dont want to tear them up.

Reebok Crossfit Nano 2.0 as a general lifting shoe. I wear low cut Walmart knock off Chuck Taylor's for deads. I wear Rogue Do-Wins for squatting.

That's what I use. They've held up pretty well over the years. If I was out to buy new shoes; I'd get those $100 Nikes someone posted a link to in the 531 thread. Sick deal.

Something flat and stable. Usually just a cheap pair of chucks.

I'm using merrell trail gloves right now (pretty much like barefoot). I use reebok oly lifters for squats. Next up is some reebok nanos, they feel super stable but I've only tried them on. The asics fortius is a pretty good minimal lifting shoe too and cheaper than reebok stuff.

I'm using Reebok Crossfit Lifters.  1st lifting shoes I've ever used.  So far so good.

Adidas powerlifting 2.0s for most lifting and Strike Movement Chill pills for deadlifts. The adidas are a great intro into lifting shoes if you dont want to spend 200 for the nice ones.

Nano's for a lot of stuff
Chucks for DL (and everyday life)
Nike Romeleos for Oly and squats...though I'm trying to track down a pair of Adistars

Events (prowler, sleds, drags, carries, etc) =  Merrel trail barefoots.

Squats:  Chucks, rarely oly shoes.

Deads: Chucks or wrestling shoes.

Weightlifting:  reebok Oly's

Running: Saucony omni's

fuck. I'm like a woman...   or a crossfitter...

Can the converse be used ok for squats and deads?

I was going to look for some yesterday when I was in town but forgot.

Knock off chucks for lifting. Currently I am using Saucony for running but probably going back to Brooks for my next pair.  Looking at the New Balance Minimus for other stuff.

Crap...better put me in with the women and crossfitters column also.

Old school vans for squats or just my socks.  Chucks and the old Asics wrestling shoes seem popular as an alternative to proper lifting shoes.

What about for big feet? (15 ee)

Most places have smaller shoes.

Remember when people got "dressed" up to go to the gym? I mean really, head bands, special sneakers, matching colors?  Ummm, are you there for a fashion show or work out? Certain NBalance sneakers come in 6EEEEEE. Good luck!

I used to have an expensive pair or shoes for olympic lifting, leather with a rubber covered wooden sole.

I had no idea there were special tennis shoes for lifting. I just wear my old brooks trance. I've even thought about buying a pair of steel toe tennis shoes for all of the dbags dropping dumbbells

Since this is a shoe thread, I have to ask, what minimalist shoes are out there that look like a normal pair of leather shoes but have a very small sole. They have a leather upper so they almost look like something a bit more dressy than a traditional sneaker.

Not quite as fancy as those. I think they were made out of suede leather.

I do realize how vague of a question this is.

Not really, imagine chuck taylors being redesigned to be acceptable with a pair of khakis.
