Other than potatoes and lettuce, I hate vegetables.  I like V8 juice.  Want to drop a few pounds and almost every diet is "meat and veggies".  Can I substitute V8 for the veggie requirement?  Or does it have too much sugar to be of any benefit?

Idk,

I like it V8 a lot myself but I wouldn't substitute it for the real thing.
Maybe get yourself a juicer and make your own out of Fresh Veggies would work out.

Read the label...lotta crap in V8,,i too really like it, but its made from concentrated whatever and additives.

There probably isn't much left of the vitamins after all of the processing.  I think that's added back in.  Fresh vegetables are always better.

NO!

V8 is highly processed. Its full of tomato paste, additives and other concentrates. For sodium and sugar content V8 is just as bad as every other processed fruit drink out there. If you have a food co-op or some kind of hippy organic health food/grocery store in your area, go see what they have for juices. A lot of them carry cold pressed organic juices. If you really want to do it right, invest in a juicer. Just dont trust V8 for what your intending.

Have you tried some different recipes or ways of cooking them?  I would think there would be some way out there to make them palatable to you.

dont say that. get some frozen veggies from the store. reheat on stove top. Add some grassfed butter and every vegetable is tasty.

Plus, no fiber in v8.

Too much salt
Too much sugar
Not enough fiber

You can get low-sodium V8 but you are still being cheated out of proper fiber intake and getting too much sugar.

Piss-poor choice, and no veggies is an even worse choice.

You don't "like" vegetables?  Are you 10 years old?

Learn how to cook fresh veggies.  I agree that veggies out of a can kinda suck.

Properly prepared veggies, especially on a paleo-style diet, are fuggin delicious.  Cooking with bacon fat, coconut oil, and butter are all GTG.  How can you possibly go wrong utilizing those ingredients?  Here are a couple dead simple ideas:

Roasted Carrots
3-4 carrots peeled, cut in half lengthwise
2-3 garlic cloves, minced
1/2 tsp of sage, dry is ok but fresh is better.
2-3 tbs of BUTTER

Throw all ingredients into a tinfoil boat, and seal.  Throw on the grill on medium-low heat for 20-25 mins or until carrots are soft.  Profit.

Roasted Cauliflower
1 head of Cauliflower, chopped to bite size pieces
4-5 strips of bacon, uncooked and diced

1) Roast Cauliflower on a greased baking sheet for 20 minutes at 375.
2) Meanwhile, cook your diced bacon in a saucepan on low heat until the fat renders and the pieces are crisp.
3) Remove cauliflower from oven and drizzle with the contents of the saucepan.  Stir the cauliflower until coated with bacon fat.
4) Return to the oven for 5 mins.  Remove and Profit.

Unless you are a whiney 10 year old or your sandwich maker is a shitty cook, there is no excuse to exclude fresh veg from your diet.

Get V8 isnt that great for you.  as others have said, ot much salt/sugar.  The "light" or "reduced"  *I forget which 1 they use* is better.  I switched from the reg to whatever the other 1 is for a while but then the g/f got a juicer and we just do that.

If my 7 year old can eat vegetables, so can you.

No, not really.
Potatoes are not vegetables.
V8 is loaded with sodium.
It's a good drink, especially in a Bloody Mary mix, But it's not a replacement for eating actual vegetables.

Cheers!

Are you two years old?

If you won't eat veggies, but will drink juice, buy a juicer and make your own juice.

If that's too much work, this is better than V8

My mom made us eat our veggies too, now none of the four of us are picky eaters and none of us are, or ever have been, fat.  And it's even better when you can prepare them yourself to your own liking.  Like marinated asparagus on the grill...

I call em Goat Turds because that's what they kinda look like.
There the green round peas that people like to eat with mashed potato's.

I am absolutely addicted to it.  Made a double batch all but one of the last six weeks and eat it 5 nights per week or more.

OP could use spicy V8 to make up the tomato juice balance, though I prefer the Dei Fratelli brand I posted earlier.
