Did the Fondo for the OKC pro-Am this morning ...Retired Pro Phil Gaimon was the ride leader...I saw him at the starting line and that was about it.

Recovered from shin splints and starting to feel normal once again.

Decided to reward myself by going carbons. 303 on the front, 404 on the back with GP4000s.

So far love them and can both feel the difference and see my stats improving despite still recovering and not being in strong form.

I did my first 30mph long descent into a gusty headwind yesterday. It was terrifying honestly. I thought I liked descending but will have to relearn with these

Here is my Kona Blast, (circa 2000). New front brakes, pedals, handle bar, grips, saddle, and new cables. Eventually I’ll upgrade to a more modern bike but I’m just getting started so this will work for now! Attachment Attached File

Put a $300 SLX 1x11 groupset on my son's 29er (previously 3 x 8) and dropped 750 grams of weight while making it much more fun to ride.

Half of the trails around here are a few feet underwater.

With the move and life in general, I think I've only ridden four times in 2018 Trying to fix it, I'll post in here more.

I finally got my wheels built for my road bike and did a leisurely 25 mile ride with a friend in the 95 degree heat and humidity around Indy last week.

We also rode through Crown Hill Cemetery to find a grave for a local not for proft bike coop director that died a couple years ago of cancer that my friend knew and we also came across this grave at the cemetery, I did not know he was buried here.
