I have done dead lifts twice so far this week with no issues.
Last night I bumped up the weight to 205 for a few sets and I feel really good. Does it get more difficult to focus on keeping your form good as the weight goes up? I wasnt straining too hard but I noticed that my shoulders started to drop as I focused more on the weight and forgot about my form. Maybe its just a practice makes perfect type thing. |

grind good form into your body.
Example: I will do my best to ALWAYS use good form... until I break ~80-90% (~500+ conventional, or ~600+ geared sumo)... Then All that goes through my mind is "LOCK and HIPS" Lock to keep my lumbar spine absolutely LOCKED in extension, and HIPS to push my hips through once the bar clears my knees. there will always be form breakdown once people start going 60%. Usually this form breakdown is thoracic rounding in most people... |
