THE IMAGE ABOVE IS A PAID ADVERTISEMENT
It looks hard to do. Seems to have been around for awhile.

Anyone here use one? Results? What will this do that dumbells will not?

Pros and cons appreciated.

yeah,
they are great.
Much different from dumbells
get the video or at least 1 of them with Pavel-he's one of the new age trainers. Kettles have been around since early 1900's but Pavel is the man. I work in physical therapy and sport performance training and I use them alot for every type of person even older people. I still use dumbells but KB s are the way to go.
Check out www.performbetter.com they have deals on shipping everyonce in a while. they can be expensive I use the cheaper nylon ones and they are fine.

Maybe look up Pavel kettlebells on youtube

Listen to Joe Rogan he will tell you about them. I have never used them and would like to, from what I have heard they are great as a more practical thing to use. They do more groups of muscles all at once rather than single things for specific areas...

You could try this one as well....

That is the one Joe Rogan always mentions but I guess you have to buy the videos.

I don't have access to any so I have to sub dumbells whenever the routine (like this morning's) calls for them. One day I'd like to actually give them a try. Can someone give a description of the difference between the two? All in the wrist?

I like the look of the "ergonomic" ones. The circular ones look like they would hurt your forearms.

Dood.

I've been using kettlebells for about a year now and I've experienced excellent results from them. The beauty of kettlebells is that you're combining strength training and cardio in one workout, so you kill 2 birds with one stone. If other things are taking up a lot of your workout time (For me it's things like Krav Maga, a full time job with frequent overtime, family with young children, hunting in the fall/winter, etc) then kettlebells are definitely for you. 2 or 3 times a week for 30 minutes (if that), combined with good nutrition and you're good to go. I throw in creatine and fish oil to wrap up my nutrition and I'm in good shape.

I've worked out in the past with free weights and have seen good results with them, but I definitely look better since I've been using kettlebells. My arms and shoulders have grown visibly since I've started and my core is stronger. I'm leaner and lighter on my feet. The workouts are simple and fast. What's not to like?

Start with a 35 and you'll rapidly progress to a 45 pounder. Some guys start with a 25 and that's cool too, as you progress quickly.

Good luck.

One of my primary go to workouts. Short, sweet, and effective.
