LOL.

I was doing about a double-dose for a month but as soon as I cracked the knee I simply quit taking my shot, today would be my 4th missed shot (if I skip it), but I'm not sure there's really any reason to continue skipping it, I just figured I had lots in me and I could skip a few to let it run out.  I'll go back to my 175mg/wk today.

And deadlifts suck.  Who's idea was that stupid lift anyway?

No HCG or Clomid, just test and....  Whatever that estrogen crap is, I can't remember the name.  I rarely take it, any small amount on my normal test dose will crash my estrogen and the joints hurt, so I took some during that month I doubled up and I won't bother with it again unless I double up again.

I'll get back on today then, I wondered if there would be any improvement to sensitivity by dropping it for a while, but I'd probably just drag butt for a month for no advantage.

I love deadlifts...it's pretty much my favorite.  I would much rather pick something up than put something on my back.

How long have you been on?  I've been on for about 8 years...at this point I'll likely never be able to get off as my body may never make it again.

That's good you don't get estrogen issues. I have to keep up with my e blocker otherwise I'll breakout a bit.

I've been on for....  Two years?  Maybe three?  They all run together.  It was when I was working in central Wisconsin instead of eastern or southern Wisconsin, so that's three years ago.  I remember sleeping in the parking lot nearly every day and couldn't get my butt moving for nothing.  Three weeks after that first shot and I was a new man.

I'm just really erratic on my deadlifts.  Today I was doing deficit deads again (I have trouble off the floor, so I do a lot at about a 2 1/2" deficit) and I had no trouble with 375 then some trouble on my first at 415 but no problem with another two.

Later in the workout I went back to 415 and had a total grinder for the first, then ripped another 4 out like they were easy.  I can make 485 float just barely on the ground....  But I know if I pulled it all the way up once I could do it a couple of times.  I get pretty ticked off that my first rep is nearly impossible, then I can bust out several more at the same weight.   I got 10 at 390 a few days ago, then three days later couldn't get 445 off the ground.

It's a stupid lift.

Also, I'm not sure why every nurse in the cardiac unit was hot.  That has to be some kind of conflict of interest.

If you'd had big well defined calves she would have told you that was a hallmark of test abuse.  If you had a beard she would have said it was a hallmark of test abuse...

It's become a giant issue with my wife.  She's one of those "they're a doctor" types.

I honestly believe I know more about steroids than the doctor did (r/iamverysmart).  I did promise my wife to see another specialist for steroids but it's going to be one of my choosing not the one the doctor recommended.

One one hand, she doesn't want me going back to where I was pre HRT but she realizes that she wants me around for a while.  I can respect that, although I'm worth far more to her dead in the short-term.

Week 8 in the books.

Subbed out bent over row and did one arm dumbbell rows instead.  Pisses off my angry forearm less than bar rows - but unfortunately I don't have anything over 50# so it was a lot of reps.  May look into a landmine as another alternative.  Still doing behind the head presses instead of OHPP for the same reason, but they are progressing well.  Replaced DL with squats each session this week and my glutes remind me constantly... but that's their problem and they need to catch up.   Up to 300+ on standing calf raises - walking that weight out has been a confidence booster for my squats.

The Titan pulley tower I ordered arrived, so I'll get that set up this weekend and give it a shot for some pull work.

Do you not have a barbell?

N/M I see you have forearm issues.

Don't know why press is hurting your forearms though.

OHPPs start the weight off higher in the hand and/or the wrist is more bent (assuming elbows high form) - behind the head press gets the weight straight down the forearm and off whatever tendon/ligament/whiny-bit that is bothering me.

The only people I've seen with big calves are former fat boys.

...and I guess people who actually work them directly.

In general, I'm pretty good about reading someone (doctors).  When I was admitted to the ER I figured I'd better tell them everything so I don't die.

In hindsight, I wouldn't tell them again.  I feel like it was the one thing she was looking to see.  She did a testosterone check on me as well, it came back at '690' and that was 7-9 days after a shot depending on which of the 20 blood samples they used.  I'm clearly not abusing steroids.  The book they gave me for healthy eating was bullshit too...it was the classic pyramid.  My breakfast is supposed to be 2/3 grain and 1/3 protein.  What the actual fuck!

Saw this bench fail today, thought I'd share for the cringe.

Looking at the bar, it seemed slightly bent, no chalk, and why were his elbows so flared?  Much stronger than me though, so I'm sure he had his reasons.

You should still keep the bar low in the palm. I wear wrist wraps to remind me to keep the straight. Are you bending the wrists to keep the bar “low” or on your collar bones?

@03RN Congrats on the boy! Boys are awesome. And make great camping buddies.

RBL good job not dying. Buddy of mine (39) just had a defibrillator implanted due to a congenital issue, but damn, he made it this long with any signs. The hypochondriac in me wants to go get a full body workup from cardiologists, dermatologists, oncologists, hell even a gynecologist. Just in case.
