What is the difference in performance between the .7mw civ legal laser and the restricted version? What does the restricted version do that the civ version does not?

Higher mW laser. FDA regulates what is considered eye safe, and anything under .7mW fits that category for IR lasers. Partly because you can't see an IR laser with the naked eye, to know to look away if it's being shined into your eyes.

Restricted lasers can be seen farther under night vision. Typically civilian legal IR lasers are only good for about 450 meters. Restricted IR lasers, its not uncommon for beams to be seen as far as a mile and a half. Some can go much farther.

Thanks!

Is there a link to a similar model that has the higher power that I can have my agency consider?
