THE IMAGE ABOVE IS A PAID ADVERTISEMENT It's been 10 years since the attacks on our nation and as we reflect on the events of that day, we must not become complacent. Some feel the death of Bin Laden was a final call on a drawn out effort to fight terrorism, but if we quit now we lose every inch we have gained. Yes, we have risked much and lost too many lives in the process, but to not press on would be a travesty to those who have fallen. This type of battle has no end, unless we forget the danger this enemy presents. As we enjoy this Sunday with our families, it is important to remember those who have fallen not just that day, but every day since, in the country's defense. It is out duty to reflect on the events of the day and share them with our children and grandchildren so that they do not forget what took place and do not forgive an enemy which will continue to fight in the shadows for years to come. This long standing phrase has been in our hearts and minds each time we glimpse of photos from 9/11 and must continue to be uttered long after we are gone. Share your stories, share your memories, and share the importance of the phrase: "Never Forget, Never Forgive." |

In the morning I'll be on a field sweep for a man who fell in a snowmelt swollen river on July 3rd with my SWAT team. I will have my mourning band on my badge.
That day is burned into my memory as is that evening. On the morning of 9-11 I was preparing to go to my job as a package car driver for UPS, by late that morning I was in uniform and on duty at my Air Guard unit, Security Forces. We rushed to emplace barriers and barricades around our portion of the base, on the north side of the city airport. As the sun set we were amazed at the blood red aurora stretching across the northern sky. Our aircrew, some were flying about the state and picking up blood and flying it to New York, stated that it was eerily sad to hear nothing but military aircrew chatter on the radio and no contrails from civilian aircraft. Everyone was talking about the aurora, no one had ever seen anything like it. Didn't go back to UPS for over 2 years. |

<h6 data-ft="{'type':1}" class="uiStreamMessage" style="font-family: Arial; font-weight: normal;">10
years ago a bunch of rag heads attacked our country. The killed about
3,000 Americans. Since then we have killed over 104,000 of these
vermin. Lesson learned: Don't fuck with the U.S. Meruch'</h6>

Currently on my third trip over here because of it. Little did I know as a young lieutenant what it all meant.

Thank you Sir for your service and sacrifice, godspeed to you and all our troops in harms way in this war. May your strength and courage be an example for all of us, and let us never forget the fallen.

The most important single event I have ever witnessed in my life. Also the most tragic.
Never give up. Never forgive. Never forget.

They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old,
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn. At the going down of the sun and in the morning. We will remember them. LEST WE FORGET http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G7ZbAdP7v5Q |
