I've got the time for a change, so it would most definitely be fun. I just hope there isn't all kinds of tempting LaRue swag available, as I really would have to do this one on the cheap.

Sounds like a plan. Will the man himself be in attendance?

Barbeque's free.

Update:

So, what is LaRue Tactical gonna bring?

Our focus will be on educating shooters, instead of just trigger pullin'. No ninja skills needed, there will be something for every LaRue fan. Before you leave, you will get a chance to show what you've learned...from 25 to 1000 meters.

On the live-fire demo line, you will get a chance to learn about LaRue products and shoot with LaRue's Mark Fingar, Alfred Lindsay, and special guest Dakota Meyer (that's right, THE Dakota Meyer). Mark LaRue will be walking the grounds and pressing the flesh as well. The world-famous LaRue Tactical BBQ trailer will be on site, so come hungry and leave happy.

So come see us, you might even be lucky enough to score a "AR15.com / Rockcastle Pro AM" Dillo.

What time does the lead start flying? (Or more importantly, what time does the line form to get to play with the LaRue toys?)

Our plan is to start at 10, and wrap up around 3:30 - 4 both days. Same for the BBQ, I believe.

This is GREAT!

I'm shooting in the AM division with my new 18" Stealth upper and I look forward to some of that BBQ!

I guess I can shoot the guns too....

Are there any recommended local hotels? I am not looking for the Ritz but I don't want a dump either. Safe area and inexpensive is the goal.

I stayed at the Cave City Super 8 for the Blue Ridge match a few months ago. Was about 10 minutes from the range, nothing special but inexpensive and not dirty. Cave City is a small town and seemed to be very safe. There are quite a few hotels there because it is near the entrance to Mammoth Cave National Park. You can also stay in a wigwam in Cave City. http://www.wigwamvillage.com

If you bring your pistol you can shoot inside a cave at the Rockcastle Complex. They're having a side stage there anybody can shoot. Lots of caves on the property.

Here's my run at the cave stage from the Blue Ridge Match earlier this year:

Question about the cold range: Is this for competitors ONLY or does this apply to spectators as well? In other words will I have to leave my CCW rig in the truck?

What if I decide to shoot a side match, will there be a "safe place" to down load for the side match?
