Mine likes 52gr smks. I've tried 68 otm hornadys too. They don't group as well at a 100 yards buy was hitting my 12in gong at 700 yards with them pretty easily.

Get yourself a Magpul Hunter stock. I have one, they look and feel great. Then you can get Magpul bottom metal and some 10 Rd accurate mags, or aics mags.

Edit to add.

Varget is my go to powder with the 52 smks. Tac was what I was using with the 68 otm.
I'll have to check the actual load data and post it later

When you bring it in to the shop, I'll give you some good info for it. I'll be there until around 2 everyday next week.

I'm right at 25.3 for 52gr smks. Shoot pretty good groups and slays the prairie dogs.

Picked up some 52 gr amax, have to play around a bit with those.

I have the same rifle.  Mine now sits in a B&C stock and was threaded for my can and a bolt knob and a 510 timney trigger.  It's very accurate but Remington quality control in regards to their coatings sucks.  Mine suffered from some serious rust.  I took crap paint off it and duracoated it last weeked.  turned out great.

Factory ammo, it really loved FGMM 69g SMK.

My handloads for it are 25 grains of Varget under a 68 Hornady bthp.  CCI 400 primers in LC brass.  Nothing special at all about this load, but it chrono's a hair under 2800fps, SD of 7.5.  Shoots a solid 1/4-3/8 moa if i'm on my game.  Took out it to 500 yards and shot a 3" group.

Barrel is now threaded. Got that done at Accurate Ordnance for $100 and had it back the same day.
Still need to buy the B&C M40 stock... trigger... and good glass for it.

I went with this one over the M40.  It's a close look to the Manners T2A.  Dropped right in, no issues and the barrel is perfectly floated.

Been noticing a particular pattern with the 700 .223 rifles and from my own experiences, you guys are right that the best load that groups really well for it is the 69 FGMM. I have tried almost everything and FGMM is the one I aim to replicate when I start to load for it on my own.

OP, I have the Magpul 700 stock and Magpul bottom open trigger guard. I took the mag that came with it and traded it for something else in the EE and bought an AI mag for it in .223. What I really like about that mag is that it's superior to the factory PITA internal magazine and it allows for me to use longer OAL if so needed.

Mine is a 700P that was cut down to 20" from 26".

It LOVES ADI 69gr SMK.  Easily .7-.9 moa ten round groups on a good day.
