Anyone using this LRF? I've never had one but I know Leupold products are generally good quality.

I have the 1200i, I like it a lot. If I were you I'd step up to a 100yd+ model regardless of brand. You have to remember the rating for them is usually on a reflective target wth fully charged batteries. As targets get darker and smaller with old batteries this performance drops greatly.

I think on Leupold's website it'll tell you the performance against not reflective targets etc.

For instance the 1200i is only reliable against deer in the 800-900 yard range, with trees being in the 1000 and large metal things (buildings cars etc) being the 1200.

Either way you can't go wrong with the Leupold, I'd just step up a range or two.

Only nice thing about the Leupold is that they actually list data against deer etc. most of the other range finders I looked at seemed very, disingenuous when it came to this information.
