Just google the unit and you will see the thread come up.

I read that thread before buying mine. Most posts were positive. Some people were comparing a $350 piece of kit to a $2k+ unit. Some people came back to reality.

I've used a terrapin and the 2k side by side.   I'd have the 2k.

I haven't been able to really test it yet but I did hit a building at 1790yds yesterday and a speed limit sign at 1090yds from inside a vehicle lazing through the window. I was impressed with that.

Got mine in a couple days ago. Haven't had a chance to test it yet. Has some weight compared to my vortex 1000. Needed this to go with my 338 Lapua Magnum i just purchased.

I'll stand by it.

Even the guy that owned the terrapin said the same thing.

Dvor has the 2200MR for $385 now. Not sure if I should go with it or get a 2400.

The 2400 has the ballistic calculator and is a lot more than $385.

The 2400 having all the functionality included in one device makes it hard to settle for something less.

I was given one for my b-day, will be a while before I can use it but so far I am very impressed with it, just going off my inputted load specs versus my old data  cards... of course thats just driving around town and zapping things....

2200 is pretty much the same as the 2400 minus all the ballistics program stuff.  I use my own ballistics info on another stand alone program and am extremely happy with the 2200.  It truely is the lrf that i've been waiting for at the right price.

Since this has been bumped up, I'll add that I've had my 2000 very nearly since they came out and I'm still thrilled with it.

Not once have I pointed it at something with a reasonable expectation of ranging it and been unable to get a result.    I have a hard time figuring out how they managed to hit this one out of the park so well.

Note:  Pelican 1120 fits the unit and some spare batteries in a handy size.

I picked up a 2200MR from Optics Planet for $360 week before last and I've been impressed with it so far.
I ranged a tree through the windshield at 1377 yards in bright sunlight. On first try.

Tarapin has a new model coming out that links to the kestrel. Think Bushnell ConX but with a better laser. However, it's preorder for $1799.
Me  thinks i'll Keep my 2200 for the price

I think a lot of people are leery of the Vectronix models after the amount of uncertainty there was about warranty service during the period the Terrapins were off the market.
