Anyone familiar with the "P5" dial on the Leupold Mark AR series scopes? Can you use a variety of different grain rounds despite this dial being "calibrated" for .223/5.56 3100fps? Just curious as this is about the only thing hanging me up on getting either a 3-9 or 4-12x with mil/mil setup.

Thanks

its set for a 55 grain bullet going 3100 fps which is what a M193 does from a 16 inch barrel.

Right but does this rule out me using any other specialized loads like MK262, IMI 77gr OTM MOD1, Gorilla Sierra MatchKing, and etc?

The turrets are marked in mils (bottom numbers) as well as the range BDC for the 55gr 223 round stated (top numbers). You can still adjust by mils and just ignore the range markings on the elevation turret.

Ahhhh ok that makes better sense, thank you. I couldn't find out anything on the Leupold site itself let alone Google searches.

Turret is also marked in mils.. Your not limited at all by any weight or caliber.

Edit. They also custom make dials if your into that.
