Good morning everyone, I picked up my CTR on Friday and decided to put a SWFA SS 3/15/42 sfp on it. It's on sale for 399 plus 5% off for Father's Day. So it's in the cart, now I need a set of rings. I plan on using Burris XTR rings but not sure on what height to order. So any advice is truly appreciated.

Lows should work with a 42mm objective but the CTR base is a little lower than most so Mediums would be the safe bet even though it's at about 1" height vs the .84" height for the lows. Those measurements are from base to center of scope tube as most are measured. Burris for some reason uses base to bottom of tube.

I have Vortex low rings with a Nightforce 20 moa base, scope is a Vortex pst 2 5-25x50. With a 42 objective I'd go low for sure, I have enough room for scope caps as well so you will have plenty of room.
