I am building a 300 RUM from a host Rem 700 Sendero..............I purchased a Mcmillan A5 stock, Vortex Razor HD GenII 4.5-27X56mm scope.

Do I need a steel base & rings?

Nightforce, Seekins or Badger?

Thanks,
John

Seekins aluminum rings and base will serve you well and there are plenty of people that use them on magnums. While I don't have any magnums, I use seekins bases on two of my rifles and use seekins rings on four different rifles, and I've never had any issues (3x .308s and a 6.5CM). If you really want the extra security, then go with Badger steel rings and bases.
