I found I was more used to using rear bags. It was too fiddly and time consuming compared to squeezing a bag. I had to reset it aftet each shot.

Maybe someone will come along and teach me the proper way to use them, but for now it sits in the parts bin with the thumbhole skin I had to cut.

• barrel is 29" stainless steel full-floated, bedded, stamped 'Palma' on left side 2 inches in front of receiver, stamped 'LE' on right side 2 inches in front of receiver
• .308 1:12 twist
• barrel OD is .94" where it leaves the stock forearm, tapers to .88" at 1.5" from muzzle, where it is machine-turned down to .80" for that last inch-and-a-half to the muzzle
• muzzle crown = 11 degrees
• Laminated, air-slot-cooled stock (Richards Microfit laminated) with freeland/winchester-style handstop rail
• cheek-rest, adjustable for height-only, with knurled thumb-wheel
• buttplate shoulder rest fully adjustable for LOP, height, and cant, rubber recoil pad
• Winchester 70 action with lapped bolt; bolt knob has a small one-inch, fixed, extension 'lever'

A friend I went shooting with on Saturday and his Marlin .17 HMR. He shot the smallest group at 100 yards that I've ever personally witnessed. I gotta get him to take a pic of the target and measure it with some calipers but it was smaller than 1/2 MOA. Granted it WAS the best group of the day and the rest weren't nearly as good. But it was fun while it lasted.

I apologize if rimfires are a no no here.

Nothing particularly fancy compared to a lot of the rigs here, but she shoots much better that I'm capable of.
My "budget" Tikka T3 CTR in .308. The Surefire MB and an old Leupold 4-12 mildot are the only things that didn't come from the factory.
It's now on permanent varmint duty at the family farm where the longest typical shot is barely over 400 yards.
Woodchucks at 300 yards are only interesting with this if you call headshots.

My 700: Managed to hit the steel at 1,300m for the first time. I'm not a very good shot so I was quite happy going beyond 1,000, for the first time.
