Can a Ruger Precision Rifle Buttstock be easily mounted on an AR15 type Rifle? Thanks in advance for your help.

Yes, I did it, but would interfere with charging handle. I used mine on a side-charger. Works great.

Thank you sir. Did the interference occur with the cheekpiece all the way down, or in an elevated position, or both?

I did this a long while ago, but as I recall both. Cannot get low enough to get out of the way. You could try reversing the cheek piece and moving it more rearward. MIGHT be enough to get you past bolt catch.

Thanks again. After your first reply I was looking at images of the butt stock and thought the same thing. It looks like the cheek piece, if turned around, might be back far enough.

current build has this done,no problem usingyou do have to drop the cheek weld down but the cheek weld also slides on that axis quite easily
