and a Tikka Performance 20 MOA rail is en-route as well. I'm not going to be getting a 'good' scope for a bit, I will make due with the 4.5-16 scope I have laying around as I learn this new game (longest local range is 100-500 yards) - so I think a bipod is my next purchase. I have a couple of bags that should work at the rear.
I have no intent on becoming too involved in the competitions or anything. I know - I know - you have heard that one before..... I do plan on heading over to another range with 1000-1200 yard targets after I learn this rifle and get the better scope. I'm leaning towards a 6-9" Harris. As always - money is relative. Any thoughts from the pros here? I have been sitting on the fence between the RPR - Savage 10T - T3x - Rem 700.....the thread showing the T3x at under 850.00 shipped got me to jump. Ammo to start out with? I reload, so I'll start collecting once fired shells as I learn - reminds me - I need to order some dies and tips.... |

Yeah, definitely go with the Harris 6-9.
And I'll let the experts comment on the factory ammo. I think the AMax used to be the shit, but Hornady discontinued. I think the ELD Match is the new stuff everyone is geeked up on. 120 or 140. Since I don't reload, I rely on Copper Creek offerings and they haven't let me down yet. I don't 6.5 Creedmoor yet though  . Hopefully soon though.

My 20''ctr really likes Prime ammo,usually around 1/2 moa or less. I just ordered a 24'' today so hope it shoots as good!
