Context on Reddit was SEAL at an Irish Defence Force held Sniper competition, apparently recent.

Minor correction on the info...The barrels would be .30 cal not .308. Don't want someone to get some info wrong during a build

Good catch, I can see how this would confuse folks and updated the original post to .30 caliber.  To be clear, MK13's are chambered in 300 Win Mag using .30 caliber barrel blanks.

When I ordered the barrels from Lilja the invoice said "308-10 SS 4-groove, " with each MK13 taper as a suffix.   After reading  Lilja's website they seem to interchange the barrels bore diameter(.30") with the barrels groove diameter(.308") throughout the website, hence the reference to 308 on the invoice.

I'd say so, looks great!

Just bought a S&B PMII PSR for my Mod 5, though it will probably ride on the Mk11 for a few shoots/competitions.

My 5-25 will ride on my AX for competition use until some time next year when I get a different optic for it.

Sometimes I really hate waiting.  I ordered my McMillan stock in Feb and was given a delivery date of mid July.  I called them yesterday and was told that it will be mid August now. Ugh...(falls on floor kicking and screaming like a 5 year old)...I just hope its as good as I expect it to be.

PRI's rendition (step-down rail) of the Remington MARS. Runs anywhere from $250 - $275 on PRI's website depending on action type.

Its for a Rem LA, suitable for a MK13 pseudo clone? I've got that and a AI folding chassis. I've already got a AAC MK13 can so at best it would be a mix clone between the MK13 Mod 7 and one of the earlier Mods.

Hey, don't know how to post YouTube links but maybe someone can fix it for me or just copy and past it, but I've been looking for this video for years and finally found it again. Dudes got an M24 with MIRS and ARMS #22 rings. Variable power 3.5-10 M3. Thought that was cool. But he's fucking up his Douglas with the fun switch. How is everyone posting pics now that Photobucket sucks?

So that would be a MK12 that he is shooting suppressed and select fire.  Appears to be a mil rifle since the others are.  I doubt that it is anywhere worth the concern.  It probably has been passed from shooter to shooter and is not as accurate as it would have been when new.  In the Marine Corps, the rifles were passed from DM to DM, and they worked as well as we could shoot them.

I decided to run a different S&B for my Mod 7.  Still going with the 5-25x56 PMII but instead of one of the numerous Christmas tree reticles (H59 and Tremor series) out there I'm going with the P4F.  A little more precise for the ELR targets as much as I love my H59 it's just more suited to competition work rather than ELR type shooting.

Zeroed and calibrated. I practiced some ranging calcs anywhere between 200y to ~925y (by my estimation/calcs) with great consistency using the wind dots (SSE Winds 5-15 mph). Good shit.

Received my McMillan on Wednesday. Now all I need to do is send it off to Alan Brown to do the gunsmithing. I held it together with string to get a feel for how it would look and rough measurements.  Right now its 14.8lbs and about 51". After the machining and assembly, I figure it will be about 48".  Add about 1.5lbs for scope, 2.5lbs for suppressor, and maybe a pound for bipod, we are up to 18-20lbs.

Now if I could just figure out how to make the pictures bigger...

Not on the a1. If you're trying to clone either you'll need an action (6 digit or c/e prefix) in the somewhat correct range. If you have a RR prefix just do a m40a6

So if I want to have a clone correct SN then that's what I'm looking for 6 digests or a c/e prefix.

But for a scope base no 20moa for the m40a1 got that.

How about the m40a3?

No scope base for a1. Clip slotted.  Unertl replica mount (aka TMA or thehogsden mount).  My a1 was built at quantico with correct markings/crown.

I think the late a3 had a lug slotted 30moa base from badger.

Swapped to some badger ordnance rings instead of the PSR unimount. I was having some ejection issues in that the spent casing would hit the unimount and knock the casing back into the open chamber.

Any of the MK13's with the McMillin stocks have a detachable mag or are they all internal? About to pull the trigger on everything minus the barreled action and glass....just didn't want another internally fed bolt actiin after building my M24 clone.

Per the Operators manual and Alan Brown, the ones with McMillan stocks would be the Remington 700/300, Mod 0 and Mod 1.  All of those rifles would have been internal magazine.  When Crane switched to the Mod 2 and the AI stock, that is when they had the box magazine.  I am sure since it is up to you, you could use a McMillan stock and use a box magazine but it wont exactly be a MK13 anymore at that point.

Yea thats what I figured. I'm getting such a good deal on the McMillin and Rail from a good friend, I don't wanna pass it up. Idk, ill probably be getting an AE30 can for one of my rifles, and just have the Lilja contoured for it so I can share the can and it'll no longer be a mk13 anyways, so ill just get a bottom metal with detachable magazine. Sigh. Thanks for the response tho
