I haven't tried. I was about to try a cleaning rod.

Got it out with a cleaning rod. Didn't even really have to put any pressure to get it out.

The 338 stealth was on my list until I came across a used (50 shots only) 110 338 FCP for $1175. Came with 20 MOA rail, rcbs dies, 50 rounds hornady 285 match, 50 pieces of lapua brass and a box of sierra match kings 250 gr. figure the 26 inch barrel will get me to stretch a little further. Post some pics when you get it. Still temped to get one in 300wm or 308. Prices are coming down.

I have one in 308 and with PMC XTAC Match 168s I was getting consistent .5 MOA groups at 100 .... Even had 2 .25 MOA groups (5rd groups) ... This was also off a bipod using a 16x scope

I just purchased the 110BA Stealth in Lapua Mag...I can damn near guarantee that FAB Defense buttstock is absolute shit.  I will also replace the trigger.  I have owned two Savage rifles, each of them has been exceptionally accurate.  I'm sure this rifle will perform similarly.

What size is your barrel? Stealth 308 is now only offered in 20 inch.

I just had one shipped to my FFL and picked it up yesterday in Creedmoor.  Wanted to try some longer range shooting so this is my first bolt action.  I agree that the stock is garbage and ordered an XLS to replace it.  I will be mounting a Viper PST 6-24x50 in Vortex rings once my 20 MOA rail gets here from EGW.  I've been an AR shooter so this is all new to me but looking forward to learning more and hopefully hitting some long distance targets.

I feel I did pretty good right at 2K for rifle, scope, rings, rail, stock and 3 MagPul mags.

"Had a chance to go out and zero mine today. I have to say I'm pretty happy so far. After bore sighting, only took 4 shots to find my zero at 100yds. After that I managed a barely sub MOA group off the shaky workbench. Action cycled super smooth and the Magpul AICS pattern mags worked perfectly. Planning to give it a good workout next week at a planned range day with some friends".

I just bought a Savage Stealth BA 10 in 308.  It came with an MDT mag.  What kind of mag did your rifle come with??
Was it an MDT??  I saw you were using Magpul AICS PMags.  If you did get an MDT mag, I assume the Magpul 308 AICS Pmag would fit mine as well.
Thx in advance.

Mine also came with an MDT mag, but it will take any AICS pattern 308 mag, including the Magpul 7.62 AC Pmags (not the 7.62 LR/SR Pmags).

I like the magpul mags better. They seem like a higher quality material.

Father in law picked me up a stealth in 300 win mag and the wife one in .308 for xmas (God I love that man).

Haven't had a chance to set up the .308 but I had a chance to make some hand loads for the 300 this weekend and was pretty happy.

The 300 didn't shoot factory ammo at all.... shotgun patterns at 100 yards with 150 and 180 grain ammo. Factory adjustable carbine stock was a joke... made the rifle pretty much unshootable which might have been part of the factory ammo not performing.

Reloaded my spent brass with 200 grain hornady eld-x bullets over 73 grains of reloader 22, pulled the factory crap stock off and replaced it with an LMT precision adjustable and magically its a .5 moa gun. Its my first adventure with 300 win mag, really impressed with its power and lack of wind drift as compared to 223 or 308.

O' and I'm blown away by how well the  factory comp works, virtually no recoil.

I just purchased the 300 WM Stealth..............Do I need a 20 moa rail?
Link Posted: 5/10/2017 10:09:01 PM EDT

Depends on how far out you want to shoot it and how much elevation adjustment your scope allows.
Link Posted: 5/12/2017 8:39:24 AM EDT

The 110 BA comes from factory with 20 MOA picatinny rail.

On my 338LM along with two others that friends bought, noticed the rail to receiver screws weren't tight from the factory.  A little brake cleaner,  Loctite and torque wrench resolved that.

Does the 10 ba stealth feed single shot when you drop a round in the action?

If there is a magazine inserted to stop the round from just falling out, yes it will single feed.

Only upgrade I highly recommend is swapping out the stock.

A larger bolt knob and that stock are my upgrade plans for my 6.5CM.  I recently swapped the Viper PST 6-24 sfp for a Bushnell 4.5-18 LRTsi ffp and need to sight it in and shoot more.
Nice rig.

I would also recommend swapping to a 20 MOA scope rail to get the most out of the 6.5CM.

You referring to the butt stock?

How do you like the MDT chassis? It doesn't take AICS mags does it?

What's the slant on the Stealth .338 rail?  Is it the same as the old BA 110 with the 20MOA rail?  I can't find any references aside from the 6.5 doesn't have the sloped rail.

I got my Savage 110 BA Stealth in last night. Got everything installed today. The top rail appears to be tight from the factory, but I'm not sure what MDT's required torque is for it. I torqued the chassis to 65 inch pounds. Seekins 34mm 1.10 height rings are perfect for the Bushnell DMR II wearing defender caps on the MDT long rail. Pics to follow.

I couldn't get the screws out of my rail and broke 2 bits trying.  I was worried about possibly snapping one off so I ended up having my gun shop do it.

Your post above quoted someone who had a 6.5CM model 10 Stealth, which uses the .308 AICS pattern mags, and can accept the Magpul AC PMags.

The more recent post is about an model 110 Stealth, for the magnum calibers.  I believe that Stealth uses the AICS 3.850" long action mags, or "CIP Long Action" type.  The Magpul AC-L PMags are sized to the traditional AICS long action pattern which is 3.715".  Long and short, when talking AICS long action mags, there are several length options, Savage and/or MDT decided to go with the longer one.

I was going to mount an RPR stock to the chassis, but it won't give me a high enough cheek weld. I also considered a CTR with cheek riser, but I run into the same issue (not enough cheek rise). I think I'd need a 1.25" riser, but I can't find one.

I looked at a Luth AR stock and I was not impressed. And the Magpul PRS would be way too long.

I ended up ordering the monopod attachment and enhanced buttpad for the FAB stock. That should add enough length to place the FAB stock cheek riser in the right place for me. Hopefully this works good for me.

Read your post and took a look at the rifling in my 308 stealth last night.... doesn't appear rough but I do have about 40 rounds though it.

Solid 3/4 moa rifle with 168 grain hand loads at 100 yards. I haven't taken the time to work up hand loads specifically for it (I made some generic 168's at factory OL just to see how it shot) so I suspect I can get even better groups in the future.

I will say that I'm not impressed with the recoil reduction I'm getting using the MI break I picked up for it. Looks like I'll have to pony up and get something a little more substantial to make it a soft shooter for the wife.
