The RPR is going to be over $1K but will be very economical to feed compared to the larger chamberings. I shoot my precision 223 rifles 20 times more than the big stuff. |

Worked the 6.5 g build out to 618 before uncasing the RPR. Hornady Black 123, zeroed at 100. Strelok says hold 5.47 mils high. Wind is 10mph gusting 15 but 12 o'clock so ignore it. Look into the PA 4-14 R-grid, hold 5.5. Take up the First Stage of the SSA-E, exhale fully, ~PsssT~[quoth the Hybrid].... ~Ding~ Repeat. I love this cartridge! and 6.5 CM too a-course. RPR 6.5 Creedmoor fired with SiCo Hybrid. |

Hello all. Not new to the site but it's been a few years so new account. Glad to see this precision rifle section growing. Just purchased my RPR in 308 last month. Got an Atlas BT10 bipod so far. I am planning on getting the Vortex Viper Gen II 5-25 FFP. I just saw new rings from MDT that were released recently and I was planning on using a set in 1.5."
Is anyone running these new rings? And if so how do you like them on the RPR? |

I'm after some info so if anyone could help I'd be very grateful.
I picked up my RPR in 308 but it has a 24 inch barrel. Would this be a limited edition model ? |

Going to go with a Vortex PST FFP 6-24. Is this the "Gen II" model? |

View Quote It should be, since they came out after the switch-over to Gen II's. Technically, since it's built on the 5.56 action instead of .308, it's probably considered Gen I for that model, but has the same setup as the Gen II's in the .308 line. |

Are they making one in 6mm, also? I haven't heard anything about it, but saw .308, 6.5mm, and 6mm listed in a Cabela's catalog. A guy guy at work also mentioned this to me. He may have been looking at the same catalog, though.

Not that Im complaining mind, as I do prefer a 24 inch barrel, but I cant find out anything about these rifles any where. Everywhere I look on the web its a 20 inch barrel for the RPR 308's. This thing does shoot very well, broke in the barrel (3 hours and 40 shots later) and my first group with 168's (Federal GMM) was .75 inch at 140 meters (154 yards) The the extra barrel length helps reduce recoil just that little bit more making this thing a pleasure to shoot. Just gotta add the suppressor (yes we just simply walk into a shop and buy one |

Was quite the experience but I had a ton of fun. I need to make sure to practice counting my shots and to start shooting on a timer. That said here's what the top 3 looked like: 1.) shooter 1 - RPR gen2 in 6.5cm 2.) shooter 2 - TRG 42 in 300 wm 3.) Finslayer83 - RPR in 6.5 5-17.) various Remington, savage, tikka, and a few gas guns in .308 Targets were 100 - 750y. I'm hooked |

Somewhat disappointing first trip out with the rpr today.
Borrowed my xtr2 (mounted In a LT-104) from another rifle and maxed out elevation (too high)and wind age(right), still off target and had to hold off target Group was slightly over an inch @100. Now I just need to get my razor hd and try again I guess. |
