So I'm newish to the precision rifle thing..
I'm planning on a PSA build,  I have a PSA AR 10 and it does ok ,,,  functionally. My plan is to rebarell with a quality tube from lilja or maybe shillen/JP/woa and have it headspaced on my bolt/ or possibly use the bolt provided. Then good glass( probably ss of vortex) and an adjustable gas block, magpul  prs,
I'm thinking of going creedmore but will probably stay .308 due to lack of "long range ranges" and the availability of brass and components.

I used to reload precision for an old bushmaster dcm that I had setup in a reto colt delta style (shoulda never sold it, super accurate with 69smk over aa2520) so loading isn't an issue.

What do you guys think?

I've got 2 308's, a 20" Lite Hunter and an 18" PSA..

The idea of a either a 260 or 6.5 is gnawing at me. The lite hunter would be a great candidate to rebarrel. I just don't think the practical edge i'd get out of it wouldn't outway the benefit. I dream of going out west hunting some day. Locally I only have access to a 300 yard range. There is a 500 yard range but I'm not a member. I could shoot extreme ranges in the management areas but only when it is hunting season and then I would be shooting with hunters in there... Then you have energy on target 308 vs 6.5 and what ranges am I practically going to hunt... Might be easier to hit a coyote at 1000 yards but then I wouldn't mind taking a shot at a coyote with a 308 at a 1000 either. I would not take a shot at a 1000 with either 308 or 6.5 on a deer...

It's torture...

I am venturing into Grendel. I have an Anderson barrel on the way and a spare upper in the parts bin. There is no doubt that grendel is a step up in power over 556. I wanted something with more knockdown in a small package.
