Maybe we ought to move the .22lr goal out to 75yds.... After all, according to the OP results, .22lr is sitting at 5:1, whereas CFR is sitting at 3:5.... :P

I shot a couple at 100 yds this evening but there was too much wind to get a good zero to work with, and then the wind would blow the shots also. I managed a couple of solid hits but others were clean misses. I'm fairly confident that I can do it at 100 using match ammo with my equipment, but not clean like 50 yards, as a matter of fact I have not missed at 50 and tonights target is the very definition of precision.

Shot with my Bull barrel 52 C, 20x Unertl, Eley EPS 22lr.

52C and range pic

A precision run, each shot exactly where aimed.

Cz 452 American with a primary arms 6x .22 scope and Quest suppressor. Shot from sitting with a bipod using rws target ammo.

The little guy modeling the rifle is my 9 year old, Danny, and he's not using the bipod because one of the screws holding a bipod leg at the pivot point broke while we were shooting the third target.

Can't believe I dropped it on the easiest to hit target.

I shot the challenge today.  LaRue tOBR in 7.62 with Tranquilo suppressor at 100yards using FGGM 168s. First target was bottom right and 4 of 5 with one just barely breaking black, second try was bottom left, 5 of 5 and a little more solid. I quit while I was ahead.

Did it again today and got 5 out of 5 with the cz452 at 50 yards.

Got out to the range Sunday to finally do this.. even though it was 115 degrees.

Was shooting at a distance of 100 yards with my Colt 6920 + Trijicon ACOG TA01NSN.  Ammo used was Lake City M193 55 grain ball.

My first shot, well... I yanked the shit out of it.    The one just outside the frame on bad guy #2 was supposed to be for BG #1.

Other than that, 3 out of 5 wasn't too bad.

Ok here is my entry from this weekend.  75 degrees on sunday morning and rain opens up as Im setting up at the range.  Rifle is an FN SPR in .308with Vortex PST 4-16 SFP.

5 shots and 5 hits from 100 yards.  Target is soaked through from the rain so I put it on an orange background for visibility

Edit:  Ammo is Black Hills 175 HPBT

Ok so this was alot  of fun, and more challenging than I thought it would be. Thanks Old_Painless for getting this started.

My best run I got a 4/5. I used my LaRue Tactical 20" Stealth, and cheapie American Eagle 55gr .223

I see it as 3 solid hits, 1 hit by a hair, and 1 miss by a hair.

My target:

" />

The rifle- Bone stock FN PBR .308 with a Weaver 3-15X50 Tactical FFP Mil-Dot . Harris bipod in front and rolled up beach towel for a rear rest. Ammo was handloaded 168gr SMK over 44gr IMR-4064, FGMM primer and 1x fired (and fire formed in this rifle)  NNY (Privi) brass.

" />

I shot part of the antenna off the guy in the upper left but I don't know if that counts so I'll defer to O_P for a ruling.

It was 91 degrees, 97 degree heat index with the humidity and zero shade yesterday. I actually had to come off the scope twice to wipe the sweat out of my eyes but i honestly can't remember before which two shots, so I'm not claiming that caused the miss(es.) It was so hot we had to put towels over the rifles while not in use to keep them from getting too hot to handle.

All and all a fun and challenging exercise.

Thanks O_P for putting this together.

I'll take it. I won't necessarily be proud of it, but I'll take it.

When you get a second you may want to move me from the .22 to the center fire category.

Shot it again today using my 10/22 at 50 yards. I managed a 5 for 5 on this one, although one of them is just barely cutting black.

5/5. Savage in .223 shooting 75gr A-max over 24.5 gr of CFE223. I loaded up a hand full to try out, and shot all but these 5 sighting in. I'm glad I made it the first try, or I would have had to wait until the next range trip.

And yes, shooting stuff IS fun.

I made it to the range yesterday.  Range was 106 yards according to my Leupold LRF.  Here is the target with 5 hits (barely).

The rifle I used is in the foreground in this picture:

(I edited my post on page 1 and put this same information up)

.22 LR at 50 yards.
Savage MK II, Mueller APV 4.5-14x, DIP Scope mount and cheek piece, SK Rifle Match. 5 for 5.

Center fire at 100 yards.
Ruger Precision Rifle, 6.5 Creedmoor, Vortex Razor Gen II 4.5-27x, Bobro Mount,  Magpul stock and grip, 140 grain Hornady ELDs over 41.6 grains of Reloader 17, Hornady Brass, CCI BR2 Primers, 2.834 COAL. 5 for 5.

I will have to try this with my 18" Larue Barreled AR. The scope for that is a 2.5-10x, should make it a bit more difficult. The 27x Razor Gen II is almost cheating.

I took my 7 year old to the range today and he really wanted to do this challenge, because he has seen my targets and we talked about how hard it is.
I set it up for him, 50 yards out and he shot from prone with a bipod.
He did it once, and got 1 hit. I'm pretty proud that he got a hit, AND he wasn't discouraged saying he'd get more next time!

Here he is:

And here is the target:

The gun is a Ruger 10/22, with a suppressor.

In order to make consistent hits in vitals, you need a 1/2 MOA rifle for this...

FYI, center guy with binos, his head is .5" wide, meant to be shot at 100 yards=.5 MOA.

1 mil = 3.5 MOA (rough)

My head is a little bit over 7 inches wide (based on my stiff cowboy hat).

3.5 MOA/.5 MOA  = 7

1 mil/7= 1.4 mil

7 x 27.77/.14~ 1380-90 yards
I was thinking that this looks difficult. 4 targets on an 8.5X11 @100 yards is tough.
It's extremely difficult at 100yds.  If you had a rifle dialed-in at 1000yds, in a no wind condition, this target array would be representative of that if you had a rifle that could maintain a tight enough SD not to experience vertical stringing.

Putting the target at 50yds is like a 500yd reduced sil array as well, but none of the targets are full sils.

25yds would be like 250yds, more doable for the average Joe.

50yds and 100yds with first-round connect on all of them is an exceptional rifle and shooter.

The easiest performance with this is that which you can buy, although the price of admission has come way down lately.

I'd have to make another reduced silhouette target with positions and scenarios scaled larger for more realistic engagement ranges if you are going to place the targets at 50-100yds.

Shot at 50 yards with SK Standard Plus ammunition.  A breeze from left to right was present for every shot; I held off with varying success.

First set up; benchrest with a Randolph front rest -

I've been having trouble with my vision, so now you know how the world looks right now.

Targets 1 through 5 were shot with this set up -

http://www.ar15.com/media/viewFile.html?i=89145

To quiet the "oh, clamped wtf that's so easy", I shot 5 more targets (targets 6 through 10) with this set up -

http://www.ar15.com/media/viewFile.html?i=89141

This requires both hands to steer the rifle without moving the rear bag for every shot.

http://www.ar15.com/media/viewFile.html?i=89146

http://www.ar15.com/media/viewFile.html?i=89148

Finally, I shot one more target (target 11) without a rear rest, controlling the rifle with both hands aided by a bag under the forearm -

http://www.ar15.com/media/viewFile.html?i=89142

I rushed through this target about as quickly as I could shoot, my back was killing me.  I missed the hold off for the top target.

I had fun, just in case you wondered.  I also test fired a CZ 455 I bought a couple of weeks ago.  That was interesting, the CCI hollowpoint ammunition would not feed, the Hornady 30 grain VMAX ammo fed perfectly (.22 Magnum).  Accuracy shows promise.

You are now ready for stress fire to take it to the next level.

Start off standing behind the bench with the rifle on the bench.

With a shot timer on a par time of 10 seconds, hit the buzzer and get into position, settle in, acquire the target, go through your breathing and trigger cycle with follow through on the 1st target under par time.

Get up off the gun.

Repeat on all the targets.

Have an accomplice video it for fun and learning opportunity.

Then switch to a rifle that you use for hunting or an AR15.

Might be fun.  Don't know that I would shoot more than one page with my '06.
We do dot drills in my DM courses at 100yds breaking position, running around, incorporating footwork drills into the workouts, pull ups off the range roof rafters, push ups, sprints, etc.

Later, I work walk-position-shoot drills in usually at the end of our first day in short courses, but we're on steel by then.

I honestly don't shoot a lot of paper unless it's confirming zero, load development, things like that.

I have some animal vital zone targets printed off that I am looking at using for an experiment with 3 different rifles and several shooters.

I know this is an older thread, but me and TheUnicorn did this challenge today with my Thompson Center Compass in 6.5 CM shooting prone with a bipod and rear bag at 100 yards.

We used 2 different loads, TheUnicorn used 130gr Sierra TMK loaded with H4895. Been a super solid sub moa load for me for a long time.

I used a load that I just worked up today with the 143 gr ELD-x with IMR 4451. Shot a good group with it this morning and I think it did really well today in this challenge.

I'll have to sort out the printer as it is unwell, but I plan to have a go at this once normality is resumed

Until then however - and assuming the printer responds to a well placed size 8 and prints off the targets - may I ask for input on a possible modification??

Lots of folk are on lockdown and cannot access an outdoor range or their usual shooting land
So, what about an amendment to allow AIR PISTOL ?
Could be a way for people trapped inside to still get some trigger time

IF an acceptable idea - what distances would work?

Could make for an extra challenge to the game plus be fun for some of the younger family members
