I'm still building a .260 so until it gets finished this is my long range rifle.

Sako TRG 22 (.308) wearing a US Optics SN3 scope and the usual Sako accessories.

ETA

The 175 Bergers are very good for distance with my 1:11 twist, for less than 900, the 155.5 Bergers work very well with Vihtavuori N-150.

Here are my Palma rifles.  Both are Barnard P actions.  Bartlein 12-twist on the wood one and Krieger 13-twist on the aluminum one.  The wood stock is a copy of an Anschutz 1913 done by Doan Trevor in American Walnut.  The other is an Anschutz 2018 Precise stock.  My gunsmith made adapter plates for 2 of my Barnard actions to fit the round actions into the square stock.  I can swap between perfectly-fitted barreled actions with just 4 screws.

My friend built this one, how about a 6.5x284 ?
This thing is a freakin monster for flat shooting and accuracy.
It'll turn 1000 yards into a boring day.

Have it zeroed at 800yds, so I think it qualifies as long range.
Prettier in these pics than it is now.

My Light Sniper Concept 6.5 Grendel, 17.6" Lilja barrel with the 318 profile.  Weight with Unimount and Vortex 2.5-10x32 is 7lbs 12oz.

Rapid-fired at 1000yds, no sighter.  Just dialed in my dope using Kestrel and Strelok.  POI was .2 Mils higher than predicted.

I don't even have a decent trigger in it either, just a rack trigger I polished, put in JP Springs.  I'm thinking I'll install a JP or AA trigger in the future.

Have you welded a bump on the bottom of the tail of the trigger in order to remove most of the take-up (and any creep)?

6.5-284 Shehane; BAT B single-shot action (left load), Shehane stock, NightForce 12-42 scope.  Shown with its 1st barrel including muzzlebrake.  Was 'Light Rifle' legal in all-3 organizations.  Shooting 142MKs propelled by Hodgdon H1000, one day in 2007 I shot a 4-9/16" 5-shot group and a 7-odd-inch 10-shot group and won 3 of 4 trophies.  It was downhill from there.  Sold it in '08.

I'm getting ready to step into this world. Been doing ar's for a decade or so and I'm really interested in shooting precison. Ar's are fun once you figure out what to shoot out of it and my noveske Bareel does quite well but the challenge of trying to stack bullets at 600yds plus is really where I want to be.
