I heard of quite a few people using these powders in various 6 and 6.5 short action calibers, and now that I go looking for it everyone is sold out with no back order option. I take it I'm late to the party wanting to try these powders given the scarce availability of h4350.

Is this fairly typical for these powders as of late or is it just a coincidence that there is none available when I want a few pounds of each to try out?

I snagged some RL16 last month when Brownells had their 70 cent hazmat sale.  So far I am liking how it performs in my 6x47L.  I don't get the velocity of RL17 but it is more consistent.

The newer reloder series powders are on shelves of distributors.  1/8# in 16-23-26

I thought RL16,17,26 and 15 were fairly temperature sensitive which make's it less popular.

H4350 seems to be the standard that everyone compares things to, I decided to try and find some yesterday and a local shop had it on the shelf as well as all the other reloader powders.

Is H4350 really that good/scarce? Ive never tried it before but that shop had 7-8lbs of it

Yes h4350 is a great powder that isn't temp sensitive, I believe rl16 isn't either though.

I've had really good luck with RE16. I like it a lot better the IMR4451

so far I've tested it across about 30 degrees and haven't notice any MV change. As we get further into the year I'll test it across all the temps here in my AO.

Wouldn't you know it I went looking for RL16 and my local supply house was out. But they had 2 kegs of h4350 so I snagged them both. I'm still on the lookout for 16 as I want to see how it does and see if I can't gain some velocity as well.

It's my understanding the new powders (not 15) are supposed to be more temp stable

16 and 23 have been found to be very stable.  I will put 16 up against H4350 anyway for stability.  26 shifts with temperature, but it isn't nigh swings, and is predictable if you have data for it.

Apparently all the local reloaders where I am have figured out rl16 is a great substitute for h4350. My local suppliers say it's as hard to keep around as 4350 and they aren't getting it very often. I'm almost up to 60# of 4350 so I'm going to lay off the search for a bit and hope one of these powders is easier to get in the near future.

Yep. Same here. I've still got plenty of 16 but have started looking for more and now it's gone.
