Today I did shooting at the biggest 8 I have ever seen a real stud. Seen about 30 deer out of this stand yesterday went back this morning one little bambi was the only thing to go by till 10:55 when this huge 8 comes walking my way. Comes out of the brush pile @31 yards I decide to wait till he goes by 5 large trees to take him in the best shooting lane following him along with my 30 pin on the good stuff. When he steps out from there broad side I proceed to shot right over his back almost cutting hair. I screwed up when he went behind the clump of trees I was so concentrated I failed to noticed how much closer he got coming out the other side. I can still see him walking through the brush having to tip and duck his head so his rack didn't hang up.

Think I'll go cry now.

Spent 12 hours in this stand yestarday alone really feel like let my self down. Maybe a bigger one will show up next week

Yep; I can find all kinds of way to miss - good luck & go get them.

Opening day. Doe cull. Missed her the same way at dawn. But I got a good one later!
