No Ryteras?  I would LOVE to get an alienX but my money is being saved for a 1911(first pistol) at the moment.

Anyway, this is what i have had for the past 5 years:
Hoyt Vipertec
TrueGlo sight
Tranquilizer (stabilizer)
everything else is cheap
But works.

Just got this last year Diamond The Rock and love it. Totally new to archery and hope to actually get out and hunt with it this year. Ran out of funds last year so it didn't happen. I will grab some better pics this evening.

Is the Z7 worth the hype. I am looking at getting a new bow. It's on my short list between a Bow-Tech.

What was screwed up?  Did you end up getting another from the same shop?

Kinda long story but originally got a Z7. Sales guy claimed the 2010 model was the same as the 2011(which I now know is untrue. Different cam and different limbs etc) Anyways he flat out lied ot me for the sale so I called up his manager and they gave me a deal on the Z7 extreme. Got it all setup and the discounts I was given for my trouble ended up being only $30 different from the archery shop in town(most of the discounted pricing was the same as what they had they advertised for). On top of that they also give you a year membership to their range and go through tuning it with you to make sure everything is 100%.  If I had it tuned by them and got a membership it would cost $150 so I was money ahead getting it there and that way I supported a local guy too. On top of that I had the original store I got it from try and get me the GLX site and stabalizer and after calling them a week later I find they hadnt even placed the order yet. It was sitting on his desk and he forgot.

So long story short I returned my Z7 extreme to that shitty chain store and bought it all locally from the bow shop. Got her all tuned up and sighted in about 30 minutes later.  Much happier now

Another Oneida archer here, although not for long... I'm way overdue for an upgrade, and it's gonna happen soon. Until then... here's my 1991 Strike Eagle, with Easton XX78 SuperSlams, and a Tru-Fire X-Caliper II release.

Hi guys and gals!  I am brand new to archery (save for phys-ed classes where we practiced with classic bows), but the bug got me to try to hunt with it ... problem is that the bug hit me a few weeks ago, and the season is already over here in south Florida's "Zone A" ... it took me some time to order and collect what I needed.

Still, if anyone has any hunting ideas, or wouldn't mind taking me along and teaching me a few things (I'll buy ya beer, lunch, and/or pay for gas - whatever).

This is what I ended up with for my budget thus far (still need to get arrows, a target, and some Magnus broadheads):

It's a Yukon, by Browning (so apparently PSE), that no-one seems to know much about.  This one is perfect for me as a beginner being in the 50 to 60 lb. range (feels like it is up at 60 right now, but that is only based on trying a 60 and a 65 at Bass Pro once).  I found that new 4.5" Doinker for real cheap on e-bay - I won it for way too little to complain about not having a 10" or 12" one on my first bow - and bought the strap off of e-bay as well (I chose the colors of para-cord).  Likewise, I won a Scott release for good money, but ... my god... I've tried adjusting it, but it seemed to go from ultra-light hair-trigger to useless.
