Nice bow. Heard its crazy fast.
I have the same sight, love it. I have the .19 pins though. The G5 light interferes with the pin elevation knob. Had to get rid of it, but its very bright. |

Same here on the sight- armor tech hd. I love mine but it's a bit heavy. Congrats. |

Thank You. I got a chance to put it through the chronograph last week. Not bad for 26.5/67 and a 426 grain arrow.

Perhaps he's adding in the weight of the 100 grain field point? Maybe he's using Easton 326 grain arrows? I use 350 grain Carbon Express Maxima's with 28.5" DL and 72 lb. DW. I use 100 grain field points and broadheads. |

Yeah, that includes the fieldpoint/broadhead. I used to hunt with light 350 grain arrows (CX Maxima 250/100 grain Ram Cats) until I shot this buck and got four inches of penetration. Since switching I've blown through every deer I've shot and buried the arrow 3-5 inches into the ground.

Shooting out of a Hoyt Carbon Element @ 65lbs 28.5"DL (I have yet to chrono) My Maitland Retribution (also a hybrid cam system like the Hoyt) at 62#, 27" DL requires a .350 spine arrow at 28" with 125gr broadhead, 50gr screw-in weight behind the insert, arrow wrap and FOB. My velocity is much slower –– 236fps –– but my momentum is .503. The calculated time of flight difference at 20yds between your current arrow setup and mine is... 0.031s Anything I lose by shooting heavier & slower is overshadowed by what i gain in momentum when it comes to pass-through shots on big animals (kind of like shooting a 55gr TAP round vs. a 75gr TAP round). I also don't need to worry about a different setup for hogs or elk. One setup does it all. Here's some light reading on the subject. |

I hear you- I've had the debate with my pro shop, and I've been assured I'm correct for the setup. Double checking on Easton's charts, 400 is OK up to #73+ and that's with a 28" arrow vs. the 27.5". I've also bought and shot many different arrows with different spines and so far these have been the best. Penetration exceeds anything else by a good margin I suspect due to the smaller shaft size as well. Not sure how much of a factor it is but I drink the 9mm KoolAid... I will read Ed's article a few more times- thanks. |

Now that bow is really nice. For almost 1000 bucks, it should be.
Congrats. |

The PSE X-Force bows are sweet.
I've been getting 295 fps out of my Vendetta XL with 29" draw at 67 lbs and 430 grain (total weight) arrow. Likewise, arrows hit the bullseye all by themselves. |

I always hate when new bows come out.
It always makes me want a new one. |
