All the 3D ranges by me are outdoor. We don't have anything close by.

40 yards is about the max distance for most people. 45 yards allows you to have some frontage area in the building. You're a lucky guy.
Whats the height of the building? Just asking because it would be badass to shoot from an elevated position. |

Bass & Bucks in northern IN has an indoor 3D range - never shot it but it looks like great fun. Might be worth a look for ideas.

The building has a very high roof. I didn't measure it but it is at least 2 stories tall and wide open. We were already thinking about a platform for elevated shooting.

That is going to be cool.
I had a few holes in just about all of my shops over the years from shooting inside. |

Certainly there are advantages to shooting indoors, but I was thinking about something.
Since the spirit of 3D shooting is to hone your yardage estimation skills, I wonder how shooting indoors might effect that. The reason I say that is that distances can look different when you're in the woods vs. open field vs. over water. I wonder if being indoors has the same effect. |

The range we shoot 3D at is a 40 yard range. It's indoors and were shooting tonight. I will take some pictures and post them later.

Having a building like that could open up a lot of possibilities to make some money with archery, not just in the 3D arena. You can find a few configurations and cater to schools and target archers as well.
