I used to shoot on a 5-spot league a decade ago. I just used the 60-pound hunting bow that I had at that time with no modifications.
Good luck! |

I used to shoot competitively and always had target bows and hunting bows. It's been quite a while now, but I decided to use my same bow(s) for hunting that I use for target shooting. I set my bows now with quality hardware that works great for both areas, but if I have to make a choice, I lean to what works better for hunting. Shorter stabs, no bow scopes, things like that.
Besides, it feels really good to place in the top couple/few places with a bowhunter setup and beat out the target bows. ![]() |

I'm going to try my hand at some local 3D tournaments this year, and I'll be using the same setup I use for hunting –– mainly because I only have one bow.
