I'm getting ready to take a trip to Missouri first and then Nebraska to hunt deer. As such, I'm in the market for a good bow case and I'm learning about airline regulations as far as oversized baggage.  The line seems to be pretty well drawn with all airlines ar 62 linear inches. Every case I've looked at that is either airline approved or ATA rated that my Mathews Drenalin will fit in exceeds this limit. My question is, how strict are the airlines in enforcing this rule? Do any of you have experience with this issue? Either regularly not being charged for a bag that exceeded the 62 inches, or sometimes being charged and sometimes not. Just trying to figure out how to attack this. Thanks.
