I got a smaller bow, appears to be figerglass, for my 8yo daughter.

Near as I can tell the string is a solid piece.  Is it possible to add a peep to this?

Or is it just all waxed up and I need to get a sewing needle after it?

It is set up with a front sight, so surely it is meant to be used with a peep?

Thanks!

To insert a peep into a bow, you should press the bow to remove tension from the string.   This will allow you to separate the strands easily, and count off an equal amount to go on each side of the peep.

If it's a solid string and you can't put a peep in it, then you can tie some dental floss or thread onto the string and use the knot as an aiming reference like a peep.    Just slide it up and down the string until it's in the comfortable spot for the shooter, then superglue it in place.

In general, most people settle on the peep being around 6" above the arrow nocking point on the string.   For a child with a smaller face, it might be a little less.
