THE IMAGE ABOVE IS A PAID ADVERTISEMENT
Does anybody know a dealer that has em (I know its doubtful)? I'm looking for a 22" version. What I would really even settle for is a dealer that would be willing to order one for me. I have emailed 3 of the local shops right now about ordering, but none have gotten back with me. I'm assuming it could take about 8 weeks if not more to get one in stock so I would really like to order one now in order to shoot at least a couple matches by the end of the year. Getting frustrating. I guess none of the guns I have ever bought have been this sought after, or new, and I'm not enjoying all the time its taking trying to track one down. Thanks for any help.

I have been trying to find one for a while, I need an upgrade!! Not a single lead on finding one as of yet. I am thinking that I am going to have to settle for an 1100 (used) and go from there, or keep shooting the 870 for another year.

I almost wish I would have kept my 870 now to shoot as well. I almost bought a 20" M1 the other night for $800 bucks, but I really would like to stick to about $600 so I have money to do some upgrades on my rifle as well. Damn hobby.

Ive been looking for a while with a no-go. But today, I got a notification from grabagun.com that they had them in stock. THEY HAD TWO. By the time I got home and on my computer...GONE...I actually e-mailed Mossberg and asked about availability and this is the reply I received...

Thank you for your e-mail. This models are in the market and we are doing everything we can to increase production to fill this demand. There are two ways to find this product. One is to work with your local dealer to see if they can locate the product for you. If you need assistance, you can use our dealer locator at: http://www.mossberg.com/dealers/dealers.asp?section=resources

The other way is to search web for on line gun locators such as GalleryofGuns.com, GunBroker.com, GunsAmerica.com and CheaperThanDirt.com. There may be others but these are best known to us. These sites specialize in carrying inventory or locating guns for transfer to other local retailers. There may be transfer fees for these services unrelated to Mossberg.

Thank you for your interest in Mossberg products.

I emailed back saying that I HAVE contacted my dealer and checked these sites for months....eh...My suggestion is to get on the email notifications and join the waiting game with us!

I hate to break your heart man, but I got one of the two from grabagun. I just happened to be checking email, and it popped up. You've never seen me run so fast to get my wallet. If you want I can make a list of all the stores I have signed up for emails so you know for sure you aren't missing one.

As far as I have heard most people aren't having a problem. I haven't laid hands on my gun yet though. Most of the clubs I will shoot at with it have moved to 8 as the division capacity before the buzzer so there's not really a way I could benefit from it in tac ops.

You aren't kidding man. I had actually given up looking by the time grabagun sent me the email notification. Even then I almost didn't order right away assuming that a large shipment had just made it to the dealers. Thank god I did though. They must be way behind if grabagun is only getting a couple at a time. Have any of ever experienced anything like this with a new gun? I usually am saving all my pennies and dimes to buy guns so I get to them pretty late, and haven't really bought any new-to-the-market guns other than an XD a few years ago. Just blows my mind that I had to try for months to give my money away and no one seemed to want it. Most guys weren't back ordering either.

Good thing I bought two when I did then. Hope you guys can find one.

I may eventually upgrade to a Benelli or FNP if the JM930 ever starts giving me any issues. Other than cleaning the gas piston on it and having C-Rums weld up the carrier, I haven't had to do much to it and I have around 2500-3000 shells through it so far this year. I'm pretty happy with it and its been a good shotgun for me.

Just got mine today from my FFL, I ordered last friday 8/10 from Grab-A-Gun after I received an email notification. It seems they are starting to show up on the market again. I think they fixed some of the problems people were experienceing with the first run or so.

Just got home from the range after shooting my JM for the first time. I ran Winchester AA 1145fps, 1200fps, Federal 1300fps and Remington 1200 OObuck through it with absolutely no problems. It cycled perfectly even with 10 rounds loaded (1 chambered, 8 in the tube and ghost loaded) I could not be happier with its performance. Mossberg must have made some changes.

Thats great. You should do the same for the OP.
I am sure posting that that you meant to be helpful and will get the OP the same deal. It should be no big deal for a guy like you.

I was making light of people taking advantage of the situation and overcharging for the gun.

I checked my local military exchange (Quantico). They will backorder a JM Pro for 30% down of a total $632.00 out the door. No tax and including the $2.00 background check.

Picked up one today for the local shop. Had 2 on display (and an SPX in a box). Good price from what I've seen especially since it fell in their "sale" list. $600 on the nose.

Somebody posted a $2 fee for a background check? Not where I purchased mine unless it is buried in the purchase price.

I found a 24" JM 930 at Palmetto State Armory and took advantage of their 10% off deal on firearms. After it was said and done walked out with it for 538.79. Not bad at all if you ask me. I've also seen them popping up in stock on gallery of guns every now and then in quanities of 1 and 2 for the 22" AND the 24"

They really haven't caught up with stock. I just happened upon this one at Palmeto State Armory. It was their only one listed in stock and I jumped on it.

I got totally lucky and found one a 22 inch at the closest local gun shop to my home. I had been looking and added myself to every notification list on the web with no avail.
I was at a local multi-gun match on Saturday and mentioned to a friend that I was looking for one and he told me that the LGS had one three weeks ago when he stopped by.
Taking a chance, at the next stage break I called and yes indeed they had it $639, $700 OTD. I paid for it immediately on my credit card and went in yesterday to fill in the paperwork.

I had been looking for one for about a month, and my LGS couldn't even get an ETA from their distributors. I gave up on trying to find one and decided to save my pennies for a Benelli M2.

......Then one day I walked into my local Academy to grab some ammo and had to make a double-take at the shotgun rack....yep, at the very back was a 930 JM Pro (for only $599)

I have a NIB 930 JM Pro (22" 8+1) and a new uninstalled Picatinny rail if you're interested. Was going to go this route, but thinking of another direction.

If you're in KY, I'm not that far away in OH.

I did post mine in EE. When I bought it they were selling for above MSRP. It definitely isn't marked up anywhere near double what I have in it.

Been looking for a 24" 930 jm for a while. Don't know if anyone can point me in the right direction. There was a 22" on OK shooters that sold for 580 a couple days ago but I'm looking for a 24"

I've given up on finding a JM pro due to Mossbergs inability to deliver even before this panic buying. I took a look at Todd's in the EE and it'd be worth the consideration if the price wasn't so absurd. The $600 range is more realistic. But alas.. a Benelli or a Versamax.. that is the question

Agreed. I would like to be a fly on the wall inside a production plant a mossberg.

Also, I vote Versamax X's 10.

OK, I am new to 3 gun and have also been trying to find a Mossberg JM Pro Model 85118 or 85119. I have followed that one on Gunbroker for three weeks from the sellers original post on Armslist and then on Gunbroker.
Like I said, I am new to 3 Gun, and want to make sure I am going to continue with it before dropping $1000+ on a new shotgun. I figure I can buy the Mossberg and upgade at a later date.
I managed to pick up a 24" Mossberg this morning at Academy Sports for $599.99.
Here is how I did it.
The inventory system at Academy really sucks, but after talking to Customer Service(888-922-2336) every day for the last eight weeks, and several store employees, I finally figured out that Academy has no idea when they are going to receive product from the manufacturers, when it will leave the Distribution Center, or what stores the items are going to.
I did find out that almost all of the deliveries to the stores take place at night. Being firearms which are heavily regulated and "checked out" when sold through the inventory system, all firearms received must be entered into the store's system before they can be sold. This is done each morning before the store opens at 8 am. Customer Service can tell if there is a particular SKU number going to the store represented by a negative number for the item in the system, however, they cannot tell when that item will be available at the store. Customer Service also opens at 7am because Academy has stores in EST, so, you can call at 7:30am CST to see if the stores in your CST area show a negative number for that item. This will hopefully give you time to get to the store before it opens and be close to the front of the line. I got there at 8:10 and there were already 5 guys in front of me doing paperwork. Luckily, no one was looking for a JM Pro.
The SKU number for the 24" model is 0023087299.
I hope this helps some of you find the shotgun you are looking for.
Good luck.

ive been told by mossberg that you can place an order for one through your LGS and they will place the order through a distributor. apparently they are not just produced for distribution they are made on an order basis.
