THE IMAGE ABOVE IS A PAID ADVERTISEMENT If I truly enjoy it and get good at it, I'm sure I'd build a rifle geared for it at some point. But for now, would I be making an ass out of myself showing up with this setup? Thanks.

Only if you steeped up to the line with the flashlight still on. J/K that gun would be more than caple at any 3 gun match. The only thing that I would do is add a comp to it.

The light comes off.
Yeah, I've been looking at comps too. I have a Dynacomp on my Spike's middy that I really like. But I'm also looking at the Battle Comp and FSC556. |

You will be fine. We have guys that show up every month with their "go to" rifles and shotties. They shoot matches with them in the configuration they normally have them. It is a good way to see what works and what doesn't. I don't have a light, etc. on my game rifle or shottie; but, I've shot matches with my duty guns as well. I learned a few things about them and how they were set-up. I actually changed the rear sight on my duty rifle because it effected transitions in certain lighting. Most of my training with that rifle has been in low light, I never would have known how much the fixed rear sight was blocking my FOV had I not been running it in a match. My next change will be to put the Eotech on a riser to see if that helps me see better as well. Shoot what you got, if you get hooked start trying other peoples stuff and find out what you want for game guns. My experience has been that 3 gun shooters are some of the most helpful people around. All you have to do is ask.

I've only just built my first "game gun". For the last couple years I've used my BCM midlength* with an Aimpoint T-1 (including at the Rockcastle Pro Am). Your rifle will work just fine for 3-gunning.
*I've even shot matches with my TLR-1 attached. ![]() |

Looks good to me. If you decide to get more serious about playing the game of 3 gun you may want to make a few small changes but it will do the job for you.

This Spike's middy is another option. The Dynacomp makes follow up shots much faster than the A2 FH.
This picture is a little old. I've since added a Geisselle SSA-E and the light went on another build. Are guys using Aimpoints? I thought low powered variable optics were pretty much the standard. I've been looking at the Burris XTR and the Meopta ZD but funds won't be available for several months at the earliest. ![]() |

Most guys run a Leupold Delta Point or Eotech XPS2.1 |

I appreciate it. |

You need a cat tail for your Accupoint.

It is slow going moving the dial from 1x-4x now. Does anyone else sell them that I should check out besides Larue? |

I'm going to pick up a Burris XTR or a Vortex PST for the Spike's middy and use that for 3 gunning.
Does anyone who owns either of these optics give me some feedback? My biggest concern is reticle visibility during bright daylight but on darker targets. I've seen some pics of the PST reticle and it nearly disappears in bright sunlight if there is a darker tree line or something similar in the background. Thanks. |
