April 30th is the cut-off for signing up for the 3GN Memberships. They should post the participants and start uploading scores after that date.

Scores are being tabulated as we speak. April 30th was the cut-off for sign ups. We will have divisional, ladies, juniors, Semi-Pro, amateur and divisional scores after SMMG, TXMG very soon.

I'm so excited about the series. I can't wait to see the standings for Semi Pro. (And to see if I did my math correctly figuring up my points)

There are going to be lots of exciting races to watch this season.
The Top Semi-Pros trying to get into the pro series. The Junior Race should be interesting with Jake Denno Shooting open and Katie Harris shooting in Tac Optics. I'm curious to see who is going to challenge James Casanova in the Tac Irons Division series. Lastly I am curious to see who is shooting the Heavy Optics Division as I plan to make a run at that one starting in two weeks at the Midwest 3 Gun championship. |

I was hoping they would get the Semi Pro standings up before CMMG next week.
I think the answer to your Tac Irons question will be West C. I am friends with James and West both, so I wish the best to both of them. Kyle O. is in the Semi Pro series since he was out for so long last year. I look for him to be one of the top 25 in Semi Pro at the end of the year. I don't have a clue about HO. In the Juniors, Is Cody L. shooting TO for all events? I assume he is still in the Junior age group. |

Well, I'm glad they got some standings up, but they sure are missing a bunch of info. I'm missing a score as are a few other people I know. I see a few names missing all together. I realize this is new and it will take a while to get the bugs worked out. Midwest is coming up this weekend and that'll be my 3rd match of 2012. I hope they get the bugs worked out soon.
From what I've heard from others, make sure your name is spelled correctly on your score sheets or the 3GN computer will not be able to find you in the results. |

I spoke with Chad and he said we need to make sure our names are spelled correctly on the scoresheets/overall scores. He said maybe in the future he and the MD's can get together on having our 3GN numbers on the registrations.
I shot crappy at Midwest. Good thing I'm signed up for the ProAm and FB3G. Hopefully my scores there will be better! |

In case anyone is interested ... Updated scores are now listed & kept up to date with the fine people at Range Log. If you go to the main 3 Gun Nation web & click on the "Membership" tab, it will show scores if you click on any of the divisions.
Here's the link for the semi-Pro series Semi Pro Standings |

As a side note, between this forum & others ... if you shot a points match & don't see your score(s), it seems getting in touch with the guys at 3GN is a pretty quick & easy solution

Here's the link for the semi-Pro series Semi Pro Standings thanks! when does the season start and end? The points race started in March with Superstition Mountain & ends in October at Blue Ridge Mountain with final shoot offs in Las Vegas in 2013. The show should be AWESOME this year! Pro Series & Division Series points are tight. These guys are the cream of the crop & are really battling it out (check out how tight the scores where at the Covington, GA match). The show really focuses on these guys & for good reasons but the semi-pro division is a wild card race & it's going to be HOT. With 6 "points" matches to go, 100+ shooters competing for a spot on next year's Pro tour, & no-clue as to who is going to compete where or if they're going to compete ... top 10 in semi-pro leader board have posted 3 solid, "heavy duty" scores that rival some of the Pro scores (including a solid set of scores from an outstanding & phenomenal junior shooter). A handful of semi-pro shooters have posted 2 scores with 80 points or better, 19 shooters have posted 1 score with 70 points or more, & a whole boat load of shooters on the east coast haven't posted any scores & are waiting for the last 3 big matches. It's going to be an exciting race! |

We've had a bit of discussion about this on other forums, so I thought I would bring it up here. What do the masses think about making Semi Pro TO only? Being that Semi Pro is the feeder series for getting into the Pro Series, which is TO only, I think the idea has some merit. Some that responded to this idea on the other forums were against it, but some of them were also competitors that made the top 25 by not shooting TO. Some said they thought it would kill the other divisions. Just curious as to what everybody thinks.
Please know that I am very happy for everyone that made it into the top 25. I have many friends there and I am hoping that all of them do well. I am posing this question to everyone on this forum because this is the 3GN forum and it is a little off topic on the other forum. |

Just curious as to what everybody thinks. If you want to be a pro you gotta shoot TO. It is the only division. The other divisions are just for fun anyways. The Heavy divisions aren't going to die because they are already dead. Tac Irons might lose some shooters but who really cares? Does it affect the number of people willing to shoot? Nope it just puts the shooters in one division. 3GN's goal is to grow the sport as a whole not a particular division. The division jumping this season cost several good shooters a spot in the pro series shoot in match and one very good shooter a spot in the top 4 shoot off. If you don't want to run with the big dogs stay on the porch. |

If Semi-Pro goes TO only, then something will have to be done to promote the Division Series. Or just leave Semi-Pro as all divisions with everyone understanding that to shoot the Pro Invite you have to move to TO. Either way, it would be in everyone's interest to get the 2013 changes in everyone's hands as soon as possible.

The Divisional Series was moslty filled with the Pro's or guys that choose not to go pro or semi pro. |

Maybe let the Semi Pros shoot the Divisional Series too. Just like the Pros can. Then Pro and Semi Pro are TO only, but competitors from both series can compete in the Divisional if they want. Maybe spread the love on the Divisional prize table a little further than just one place also. Then there is a little more incentive to shoot in the Divisional Series.
Or not. |

Run it for a year and see what it does for the numbers in the divisions that are the smallest. What's the worst thing that happens, less than 10 shoot HI at a match? |

I have 4-5 buddy's that recently bought .308 AR style rifles. I think they are planning on getting their asses handed to them in HO next year.

I CAN hit steel past 100yds with my 308! And Im forgoing the semi pro qual match, Ill probably just shoot the 4-5 big matches closer to OK and shoot whatever division pleases me. If there wasnt the new "tac optics only for semi-pro", then I might have done the semipro thing again just for kicks, but I will most likely not do any of the 3gn stuff this year. |

The only thing I have seen is dates. I'm sure the Vegas shoot off is the priority now. Hopefully 3GN secures a bunch of big sponsors at SHOT so TV's top semi pros get their first payday when the finish in the top 16. |
