Hey fellas, I'm getting ready to send in my app for the ar15 3 gun match
(WHOO HOO) and the scope I'm planning on using in a Burris
XTR-1 4 with the Burris fast fire on top of it... Is the fast fire red dot
Consider an optic as well? Just asking cause I think having 2 optics
I have to register for open class... No biggie either way just want to
Register correctly.

Yes that setup would put you in open class.

You might want to reconsider that fast fire. You already have a 1-4x scope. you can crank it down to 1x for the close stuff.

Open will have you competing against mag fed shotguns and loading tube setup shotguns.

In 3-gun the real difference in speed is shotgun reload times. (In my humble opinion.) What is your shotgun setup?

Bumping yourself to open might not be the best idea.

Regardless of class... you will have fun. See you there!

Thanks for your response. I'm using an old school Beretta 1200 fp 6+1+1....so yeah your right I would be at a disadvantage... I'm running a g34 also. Are 33 round mags
legal in open? Like you said, this is all for fun for me and not too worried about this, just wanting to run what my setup would be in any type of defensive situation at home.

The Glock 33 round mag is longer than the allowed 170mm, so not allowed in open. But you can get extensions for the 17-rd mags to boost to 22-23 rounds and still be 140mm legal in Tactical, or Open, for that matter. I use Dawson, there are others.
