Hey all Iv been shooting for awhile now and am finally ready I think to jump in to the competition side of things.
I live near Tyler, Texas and am looking for Places that have 3-Gun and possible some plain ol pistol and carbine matches.
Anybody know where any are being held at?

It would be a long drive from Tyler but here is an option for 3-gun matches in Texas:

http://www.texastactical.net/matches/schedule.asp

It usually works out to 5th Saturday but as you can see this one will be on Sunday. Carbine and handgun on the first weekend and handgun only on 3rd and 4th weekends.

Here's a map of most practical shooting matches held in the state including pistol, carbine, and multigun.

See the tacked thread at the top of this forum for a list of multigun matches.

Check out North Texas Multigun and 3 Mils Right. They are not close to Tyler, but I live north of Ruston, LA and drive over for them. Yes, they're that good.

Steve Vandermolen is the guy that puts it on and is very helpful. His email is: steve@thundershootersclub.com

Last weekend was their very first match. You should come on out.

Thunders is the first Saturday of the month, so Nov 3rd is the next one.

West Houston's is the second Saturday.

More information on the 2nd Saturday West Houston match here. There will be stage descriptions up the week before the match. The match director's user name on this site is bwolff if you have questions for him directly. I shoot it all the time so let me know if there's anything specific you'd like to know.
