There's a guy on you tube Ranch Boss that runs independence ranch in Texas. Has anyone here hunted with his buisness/ranch?
I'm looking for feedback....

I've never heard of him but that doesn't mean he's not legit. Find out if he owns the ranch he's hunting or is he an outfitter that leases several ranches and then guides on them.

It says in their website he owns it and runs it. But he's got to have 50-75 videos on YouTube under ranchboss - but I've read a few things on Yelp that were not good but those were from a few years ago....

Not associated with the ranch besides I've hunted it a couple times. Have loved my trips to it and have always had a blast. The ranch is overrun like you see in the videos but also has some BIG hogs.

Good luck. Make sure you take bug spray and also some lightweight clothing. It was hot when we were there the first of june. They have or have had alot of rain as well so be prepared for a swampy spot and stalk.

Holy cow! $1 per pound to clean and they do all cleaning PLUS fees and tips? What do guys end up spending on a 3 day hunt on this high fence stocked ranch?

Not near as much as I have on other hunts and have not failed to bring anything back from this ranch unlike others. Taking my success rate and the amount of fun and the enjoyabality of the hunt is a big thing and sometimes worth a little extra money especially when you can't take the alot of time off throughout the year.

It is a stocked, high fence operation on a couple hundred acres, so you are almost guaranteed to get some pork.

I went for the 3 day hunt starting on the 7-23-2016.
Got a 233lbs boar in the first 10 minutes in the field. Got another 95lbs sow on the day 2 night hunt.  Staff was friendly.  Food was good. I'd go back again. Another guy in my bunk house got a 237lbs boar.  Tons of exoctics running around.

What did those two pigs cost you all in as far as what you paid the ranch and staff (not travel, gear, etc.)?

I know what it cost me. I felt it was worth it. I've never hunted before. I live in the city. I don't know any ranchers etc. There is no hidden costs. If you want to know what it cost go to their website and do the math.

I've never been there, nor do I know anybody that works there, now that that's out of the way. I was enjoying watching their videos then I noticed in their "orientation " video that they have the Zodiac Killer symbol branded all over the walls, and 666 branded in the wall. Just makes me wonder what the hell that's all about.

At 5:57 next to the skull is "666". The circle cross symbol was used buy the Zodiac Killer, it appears in multiple places on the wall.

Yeah I was going to say they all look like cattle brands.   Great collection if they actually have them all.  The Circle Plus or cross is different than the Zodiac.  The cross is not contained within the circle.

Very famous ranch in West Texas.

They have a very good horse breeding program, Dash for Cash is out of it.  I grew up twenty miles from the one in the Panhandle and my H.S. ag teacher grew up on the ranch in Guthrie.
