I was told that some corn, beer, water, and strawberry jello powder in a 5 gallon bucket and let it sour. Then pour it out and they will be all over it.

Anyone used this? I already got the beer and jello. Going to try it out next trip to the lease.

Yes. You don't have to add beer though. We use coolaid mix. Sometimes mix with diesel or throw old fruit in. Plain corn works fine too.

Corn and pre mixed kool-aid with the sugar in it brings piggies in pretty good.

I'm sure anything similar would do the same. I don't believe there is some magic recipe.

Nothing works "better" than just plain corn.

That said, soured corn will keep deer and coons off of your pig corn. Nothing sours corn faster than pond water. Mix corn with pond water and set it in the sun a few days.

If you can mix it with corn and bait hogs, I have tried it. Nothing works any better than just plain corn.

IN FL deer and coons eat the hell outta sweet sour corn. Nothing I can really do about it, I'll bury it but the coons will dig it out.

I have used soured corn but when the ranch I work at was given about 3000 pounds of soybeans and I soured them up with straight water I caught larger numbers of hogs than I did with soured corn.

Thanks for all the replies. I have a corn feeder but wanted to try something different and more effective for pigs since I've got 3 deer already this season. Ive seen some pigs from my stand but they were 200 yards off of our property. They are on our lease I just want to bait them to eradicate some.
