Has anyone done it ?
Seems like you could take out a huge sounder this way.

Set up the Civil War Cannon pointed in the general direction of corn on the ground. The Cannon can be 100 or more yards away.
Get them used to feeding on corn. Day or night will not matter.

Once you have them coming in on a regular basis. Load it and use a friction fuse or a percussion cap system.
Pull the cord.

I’ve been thinking about doing the same thing.    Here is my baby.    I need to have the barrel bored and sleeved.

Nice pattern there.    What size shot did you use?

I’m looking for a machine shop close to the house that can boor and sleeve the barrel on my cannon.    Once that is done I’ll be finding out what kind of damage I can do to the woodwork.
